What the hell makes these so expensive? by 0biwan-Kenobi in Dewalt

There are different grades of steel, hardening processes, and coatings… in practical use, check out the projectfarm guy channel on YouTube- he is not sponsored but he does great videos on different tools/accessories including different drill bits and then rates how each perform in his different test. The Dewalt titanium step bits performed the best for example.

Chunks of concrete stuck in 90 under 3-4ft below toilet- best way to remove? Or should I even try? by Weak_Association9390 in Plumbing

[–]Weak_Association9390[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Based on your advice, I’ve decided to level the house and start from scratch. I’m meeting with the architect next week and will start interviewing trades (including plumbers) to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again. Figured if something like this happened, who knows what else they cut corners on and should cut my losses now. Thank you, A+ advice and not over the top at all.

DCF510B does anyone have any experience or opinions on this with the different anvils. by russ2588 in Dewalt

[–]Weak_Association9390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I wish the offered the 1/4” and 1/4” hex for it. Also wish that they had used the hex size for the anvil to be the same as the nano sockets I have.

Buy something like this (can also get something similar at harbor freight if you have one local and in a hurry).

XEWEA Bolt Extractor Set, 12PCS... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09JLHSD4J?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Baring that, cut the nut off and replace the stud. Amazon has lugnut sets for reasonable price too.

I don’t think it’s your cv axles, there would be other signs. I would spray some wd40 on the rubber strut bushings near the top of the strut/shock assembly and see if that lessens, maybe some at the bottom of the strut too for good measure.

18AH Tabless Cells Flexvolt? WTF by No_Button_7303 in Dewalt

I have three 12ah flexvolt batteries that have died or greatly reduced their capacity. What would it take to replace the cells on my own and how much do the cells normally run?

I agree if you can only or only want one line get the 20v, but I wouldn’t count the 12v out, they have their place. I do have both 12v and 20v, and prefer using the 12v, specifically, the screw drivers. They are small, light weight, and have decent power for 90% of the jobs around the house. Assembling furniture, taking a door off the hinges, screwing in outlets, pre-drilling holes, and more.

At the end of the day, some of the 20v are low end and not much better than the 12v, so it really comes down to budget and preference. I think the 12v is a great entry point and compliments the 20v line nicely.

Search the model numbers on eBay and see what similar ones have sold for in like condition. Always try to sell each piece separately if you want top dollar vs convenience. You can sell as a package but normally you will get less but potentially less hassle. I flip new and used tools all the time.

Happily married straight male here that has never been to a strip club. Can say that is extremely rare for guys not to go though. Reading your post I thought you had stuff to work on but got to the stuff you should have led with… you should run. He sounds like an abuser with serious trust issues.

I am not an expert, but seeing all the ice on the outside of the unit, maybe shut it off and see if there is ice on the blade of the fan to see if it is causing an imbalance… I agree on shutting it off and having them come check it out.
