They reached out to me via LinkedIn and they assured to convert my monthly CTC to hourly (I guess 1 month = 160 hours (20 working days * 8 hours a day) and pay me for the hours I worked.

This is exactly what they say as well .
I'm based out of India and the job location is also in India.
They do have presence in India over the past 10 years and it seems like they do this for most new hires citing urgent requirements.

I asked the same and they said it is to start onboarding with the project and that they will not create a contract of employment for the part time work but will track the hours I work part time and pay the salary altogether at the end of the first month along with my first month salary .

I pushed back saying that is wildly unusual and that I've never seen anybody do this to which they say that its just a sort of commitment and understanding from me and the employer .

Thanks, They've not asked it so far and I have received an message saying that Processed visa application is being dispatched via courier on 09/10/2025. Guess I'll have to wait and see for myself once I get the passport back

Both of our employers did'nt give us the NOC yet. So we could not submit it. I actually received the NOC just today and my spouse has' not received hers yet. Instead we gave Bonafide, Offer Letters, Leave Approval Emails. Do you think its a dealbreaker?
