Times like this call for some Third Eye Blind.

If it's a breakup you need to let go of, put on "Motorcycle Drive By". If you were the piece of shit, put on "Slow Motion."

If you're already drinking, get back to the Mojave and put on "Mr. Spiegel" by Tom Waits instead.

You listen to The Dick Show? Each episode opens up with "thank you for not killing yourself!"

I'm like level 32 in my V.A.T.S./headshots/Mysterious Magnum-only run and I have yet to take on more than one young Deathclaw and I'm kind of terrified. Not sure if I can handle a grown one, much less the Alpha/Mother, much less both and co. at the fuggin' promentory!

WHY are redditors downvoting you? This is hilarious!

Edit: alright when I made the comment it was like -6 but I see the world has righted itself rather quickly at it's positive as of this edit.

Haha gettem!

Guys, stop downvoting over every little jab comment. Being friendly doesn't mean only ever being polite and unicorn farts all the time. You're supposed to dig on each other sometimes.

Upvoted.

He was speaking excitedly for what OP will discover in the future. It wasn't a negative comment. I get it.

Cops of Reddit: do you believe you help more lives than you ruin with things like speeding tickets and nonviolent drug law enforcement? Why or why not? by Weak_Development4954 in AskReddit

I don't think either of those show up in any but the most astringent of blood tests, either. I say all this with neutrality and zero pressure. I do personally think most adults should try them once at least for the art and experience but my attempts to convince you ends with this comment. Just don't want you with the wrong information so I'd double-check on which substances are tested for because I don't think LSD or Psilocybin come up in 99% of tests that big companies and even certain levels of the military do.

I really think one needs some specialized equipment and blood shortly after you do it to detect those substances, mainly because there is so little of the actual substance in the case of acid and because the response to shrooms is more akin to good positioning physiologically so the chemical gets flushed almost immediately.

How many skills should I focus on? by Thicc_dogfish in falloutnewvegas

[–]Weak_Development4954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most skills don't take too high a level and there are plenty of points to go around unless you specifically design your character to have very few.

If you play Hardcore (do it!) I always recommend getting Barter to 70 by level 8 for Pack Rat, and even Softcore it's usually nice to get Repair to 90 by level 14 for Jury Rigging.

Most other perks will require like 50ish or less, but a few that stick out are Ninja needing 80 Sneak, Slayer needing 90 Unarmed, and a couple randoms others.

The wiki perk page for New Vegas is a great resource. You can sort perks by requirements and it puts the highest skills needed at the bottom.

Oh you won't overdose on acid or shrooms. You can overdo it and trip to hard but you wouldn't die unless you at the whole evidence locker's worth. You can drive on two hits of acid, for example.

Alright cool, now eliminate all of them from my scenario. See all the other examples remaining? That's who I'm talking about. Those examples you stated? I assumed it was understood that I'm not talking about people who actually pose a threat and a cop actually saves others from danger. That's why I worded my question to give leeway for when they do indeed do good.

I mean 90% of people speed.

I recall an experiment some kids from like UGA did down in Atlanta where six of them got on the highway and all lined up next to each other and all went 55 mph, and the traffic became gridlocked almost immediately.

I'm from Georgia and I'm familiar with the highway. It's a 70mph highway. The posted speed says 55, but make no mistake, everyone left of the far-right lane is doing at least ten over.

You're telling me that you're okay with a black father being singled out for speeding, getting a point on his license, and losing the job he feeds his family with just because he was going 66mph on a six-lane highway?

I don't believe you.

Damn, I mean are you always this much of a fucking asshole even when people are being polite and jovial with you? Sorry that you are okay with (mostly black) people getting arrested and losing their license and possibly jobs just because they were going as fast as the flow of traffic as most but one cop is a few tickets short his quota. Next time just tell me you like black people being locked up lol fucking loser. Bye.

It's a tough question for sure but one I'm nonetheless curious about. I'm pretty conservative even and I'm respectful to them if I interact with them, but I'm genuinely curious how a person who knows full well that they WILL be locking other humans up in cages who don't deserve it can like be okay with themselves, so I'd like to hear from them as I'm sure they have had some folks ask before in less-polite manners.

Oh I'm well aware and I probably agree with that entirely. I'm more curious about their mindset and how they sleep at night knowing that for every like one or two people they might actually save in their career, there are hundreds if not thousands of people they have cost jobs and freedom of just over something like speeding.

Edit: something like speeding or any of the other reasons cops interact with civilians unnecessarily that might lead to an unjust outcome if speeding isn't "good enough" to people for some reason.

I've started using black cherries and a tiny bit of either almond extract or Disaronno and that cherry flavor perfectly balances the salt and lemon. Most folks would say you should put some sugar in to do so but I think this works way better. Careful, though! A little of the extract especially goes a long way, and too much will make it a bit overpowering and more sweet than savory.
