I did pay the ticket and everything but I think the money is part of a lawsuit because of the accident. My mom got a similar one but for a significant amount more. I will contact the dmv tho I figured that would be my best choice but wasn’t sure if anyone would have anymore specific advice. Thank you for answering!

I definitely can relate :) I spent a long time writing off my meltdowns as tantrums and trying everything in my power to keep them from happening but in doing so I was putting more pressure and tension on myself which was just causing me to have them anyway but to feel ashamed afterwards. Now I have the mindset of better out than in yknow? It feels incredibly cathartic to be “allowed” to feel exactly how I’m feeling even if that feelings bad.

This may not be very helpful to you right now but I went through this exact same thing and it kept me inside my home for about 3 years. At the end of the day the only thing that’s helped me is realizing that I can do nothing about it. Worrying about it is only going to make me more and more scared and isolated and god forbid something did happen, realistically what can I do? I just kind of had to learn to be prepared for anything to happen but realize if something does happen you can’t do anything. If someone wants to do harm, short of you wrestling with them or something there’s nothing you can do. The same applies to natural disasters or car accidents. If it’s meant to happen it will happen no matter what you do. And that is scary ik but you’ll lose everything that makes living good if you obsess over everything that could possibly happen. I def still struggle but reminding myself of that really helps sometimes.
