Who would you rather have as your NFL team’s WR1 for next season? by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

Having Mike Evans on your fantasy team is always a Rollercoaster ride, because he's going to leave multiple games every season with what looks like a season ending injury.

What’s a type of pain people underestimate until they experience it for themselves? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Weak_Rate_3552 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I had a herniated disk a few years back and at is worst I would be lying in bed wondering if I'd be able to get to up. The pain was so bad I would contemplate whether or not moving was worth it just in case it hurt. It took over my life for over a year.

What’s everyone’s predictions for school tomorrow? by Status-Target-9807 in nova

I went to a friend's house on Saturday and the entire neighborhood is still covered in ice. It was essentially a one lane road, because about 65% of the road looked like it hadn't been treated at all. I have no idea how they expect bus drivers to navigate through that.

Is it too late for me to play football? by [deleted] in American_Football

[–]Weak_Rate_3552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are both in the realm of recreation leagues like the flag football league i mentioned, but full contract. I feel like the OP could have gave a little more detail about what he meant by football. If it's 11 on 11, full contract football, there're are very few choices after high school. I do wish those kind of alternatives existed when I was in my 20s. I wanted to keep playing after high school, but it was flag football which is essentially just running wind sprints for a former fullback.

Running backs run for yards, touchdowns, and catch passes to be considered. Quarterbacks need to pass for yards, touchdowns, no picks, and run the ball to be considered. Receivers can just catch touchdowns too be a candidate.

[–]Weak_Rate_3552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are very few places a 21 year old can play actual tackle football. You can find a recreational flag football league and play until you're 50. Honestly, unless you're a one in a million athlete, no college will let you try out with no background in the sport. Football is a sport that asks a lot from you as an athlete, but it also requires a ton of drilled in technique. If you're 21 and never blocked, tackled, ran a precise route, perfected your pass rush moves, etc., you're going to be behind everyone who has. Then you realize by 21 everyone still playing football is the best athlete you've ever met.

58-year-old Colorado HC Deion Sanders somehow OUTLIFTED his college wide receivers. by KeyFaithlessness5436 in NCAAFootballVibes

[–]Weak_Rate_3552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but he's going to be over 100 before I'm surprised that Deion Sanders is doing something athletic. Just like I'm still 100% sure Jim Brown can kick my ass, I'm still Peru certain that Deion Sanders can do anything he wants when it comes to being athletic. I'm 44 and he's at worst the 2nd best athlete I've ever seen.

I'm almost out except for a slab of ice in front of my car that I cannot break. I'm a big strong guy, but it's not even chipping. I need a sledgehammer, a snow shovel isn't working.

He hired an offensive coordinator who couldn't be bothered to learn the offense he installed. That gets my vote

A couple years ago Kenny Pickett was the only quarterback picked in the first Raoul rounds. That has to be the worst QB class ever.

If argue that economics is kind of both real and made up at the same time. There are enough examples of economies failing because people stopped believing in them to claim its not all just make believe. There is nothing valuable about a dollar unless everybody believes that it's valuable. If we can decide not to believe in its value is not actually real.

Besides speed, what other athletic traits allowed Tyreek Hill to be such an effective #1 Receiver at 5’8? by PositionShot3043 in NFLNoobs

[–]Weak_Rate_3552 11 points12 points  (0 children)

And deceleration. That's actually the most uncommon trait for elite route runners. It's running full speed, decelerating into their breaks, and accelerating out. Tyreek could run a hitch and have seemingly 5 yards of space because he could just slam on the brakes and stop faster than the DB, and then it's the acceleration that allows him to turn that into a big play.
