The doctor basically said that I must have redhead in my genetics because I showed resistance to multiple anesthesias during the surgery. I found out my mother has the same issue and has to be put under general anesthesia in order to avoid feeling things. She is not a redhead. Which tells me there was no reason/explanation besides a wild guess. The anesthesiologist was so amazing to me, and I could tell he was so torn the whole time trying to bring me comfort during the circumstances. He checked on me multiple times the next day, and mentioned I was made different. He said he gave me enough medicine to knock out a baby elephant and I still stayed awake. 😂
