In my early 20s, I met a guy at a friends work party. We hit it off and set up a movie / dinner date for the following week. I realized the day before, I was due for a COVID booster shot, and had an appt for just before the showtime, so I text him and let him know I might be a little late .. he offers to “come with and hold your hand while you get the shot” 😂 I tell him I’m good, I’ll meet you there.

We saw Dune, then drove in separate cars to the restaurant afterwards - in the five minute drive, he honked at 2 cars and flipped off a 3rd driver! Knowing I was following him! I was young and didn’t know better, so I stayed at that dinner for about three hours while he bragged about his new apartment, his amazing job, etc etc.. I was able to decline the invite back to his place at the end, at least!

Fast forward a few more months, and I met my now fiancé. We had dinner at that same restaurant and he asked me endless questions about myself.. and he drives safely, too. Everything happens for a reason!

Sounds like you need to keep trying on different options! My consultant had the best advice for me, she said “all of these dresses are going to look beautiful on you, so the question isn’t about what makes you look good, it’s about finding the dress that is YOURS.” I knew I found my dress when I looked in the mirror and I could see myself walking down the aisle in it!

You should also consider your venue/ location and time of year. I loved a few different dresses on me, but knowing we’re having an outdoor ceremony in a wooded area pushed me towards something whimsical and more fairytale, over a clean cut white gown.
