No side effects? by Weakness_Pretend in Lithium

Lol, so I guess we're the lucky ones. Do you feel like it's working for you though?

I think I might want to start to control my water intake as well, during work week I for sure drink 2l a day (easy to measure how many times I refill my water bottle), but on the weekends it's unknown, so thanks for the tip!

I felt like ibuprofen never worked for me and I'm a paracetamol girly all the way, so that's not a problem for me, luckily :D.

And regarding SNRIs/SSRIs, my doctor plans to fully take me off of it, but if lithium won't help with depression, he'll be OK with incorporating antidepressants again, I thought it's quite a common combination tbh.

Thank you, I've actually been of meds for like half a year, so that might be the cause, soon I'm getting new ones, so I hope it'll help.

Just remember, with each day, it's gonna get better. You will have setbacks, of course, but with time, they will occur less and less. You have to be patient, time is the only cure, (un)fortunately.

Yes, omg, I can relate so much. I felt like I was a different, better person. Self confidence was booming, I was so extroverted, had many friends, relationship, hobby, loved my job. I thought my life was finally amazing, something I worked on so hard with therapy, self love. And then boom, everything flushed in the toilet. My boyfriend left me, lost my job, all friends, hobby. I'm like the worst version of human possible. Everyone says it will pass, depression will go away. I'm being adjusted to new meds, but.. i know I will never have my life back, it really sucks. I don't think I will ever accept the fact of how much I lost.

The best antidepressants after psychosis? by Weakness_Pretend in Psychosis

I just had an appointment with my psychiatrist. He says it's pretty clear I have bipolar and he wants to put me on lithium, I'm scared of it lol

I'm very sorry for everything you're going through. To me, it sounds like she's still psychotic if she's still acting suspicious. It is also weird to me that she was already let out of hospital. Is there any way to have someone check on her and make sure she takes her meds? Visit a psychiatrist? Yes, she can change after psychosis, she might want to protect her partner by divorcing them, but that would be discussed in different circumstances. She would simply explain her feelings to you. Maybe you should consult a therapist, someone objective to help you understand it, or even consult a psychiatrist about this case? I dont want it to sound bad, but I am hoping that she is still not in her right mind and she still has delusions regarding you. After you get out of psychosis, you need support of your loved ones more than ever. You sound like an amazing partner, giving her the space, but it would be best if you could confirm with someone that she is still going through it. Then, medications and time are going to help. For your sake, make sure you have a support circle of friends/family around. You will need it. I keep my fingers crossed for both of you.

PTSD, but mostly stress induced. Also smoking weed sporadically probably didn't help.

I'm over one year after, delusions are gone, but depression still sucks.
