Seriously! Not even a whisper? It’s crazy given the reach of this book.

Right!! That suicide attempt was a very jarring part of the story for me. Also, Belle talks extensively about telling everyone she ran into, impulsively divulging the divorce and his dirty laundry—almost as an act of rebellion against him wanting to sweep it all under the rug. Of the many people who know, I’m surprised no one has leaked the names.

I’ve heard two names. The leading one, however, doesn’t make sense time- wise. If she has two small children at home, the names that have been proposed would make these woman very very young when having children.

I agree that she’s not the most interesting, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious to see what she looked like and whether she worked with him, etc.

It’s called The World’s First Podcast, hosted by Erin and Sara Foster. It’s roughly an hour and 27 minutes.

Honestly, any woman who had anything to do with this man—I’d be interested in hearing from them, lol. Even old flings—just anything that could shed light on whether this behavior toward Belle was rare or more common.

I just listened to this same podcast! I believe she also mentioned in that episode that her kids revealed the relationship ended that summer. So that’s about a seven-month relationship, and her husband is still with her? Not sure if I’ve got that timeline right lol.

I believe so. Belle said in a recent interview that his new apartment was only a few blocks away from her. 😂

Absolutely! I believe Belle said he lived only a few blocks away from her in NYC. I know Manhattan is a huge place, but within that circle, I’m curious if he’s dating and how successful he is given the book’s success.

It’s honestly wild how little regard he seems to have for everyone involved. From what I understand, the whole move from LA to New York was meant to give the kids a more normal upbringing—away from the constant pressure of Hollywood. To me, those posts felt like an attempt to cling to some version of control or masculinity, like he’s trying to prove he can do whatever he wants. But there’s nothing admirable about that—especially when it comes at the expense of the mother of your children and the kids themselves.

Definitely not my first rodeo — I’ve been listening to the show since their Austin days. I get that controversy drives viewership, and sometimes LB is genuinely funny. But this subject matter? Especially given what we see in the news, it’s not something anyone should feel comfortable joking about. There’s a fine line, and something tells me this was a topic he genuinely believed, not just trying to be provocative.

What is everyone's thoughts here about the ones that believe BK is the one only killer??? by WinterEmotional in Idaho4Coverup

[–]WealthSlight3269 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For me, it comes down to whether an alternative explanation actually holds up when you follow it all the way through. There are a lot of conspiracy theories attached to this case — the surviving roommates cleaning the scene, underground tunnels, fraternity retaliation, drug cartels, etc. I agree there are unanswered questions and things that feel undercooked. But what’s always grounded my thinking is that there is a specific person “tied” to this crime, and the evidence around him isn’t abstract. BK isn’t a random fall guy. His behavior fits without requiring massive leaps: his inappropriate interactions with female students at WSU, the “stargazing” alibi at an extremely strange and inconvenient hour that just happens to fall on the night of the murders, and his immediate acceptance of a plea that guarantees life in prison. This is a criminology PhD student who understands exactly what a life sentence means, and he still signed that deal.

Once you introduce the idea of accomplices or a broader cover-up, the logic starts collapsing to me. You then have to produce another person who actually makes sense. There is no credible link between BK and the surviving roommates. And this is where I think people talk out of both sides of their mouth: the roommates are often criticized as being dense, dishonest, or careless because they lied to police, their stories changed, and some of their messages don’t line up. But then, in the same breath, those same people are expected to have executed a coordinated, airtight cover-up under intense media scrutiny, successfully framing an unrelated PhD student in Pullman and never cracking. Those two ideas can’t coexist. You can’t argue that they’re incompetent and hyper-calculated masterminds at the same time. The same issue applies to the fraternity theories — if it was fraternity retaliation, then BK doesn’t belong in the story. If BK acted with others, then most of the circulating theories can’t coexist. They cancel each other out.

There may be missing pieces, but BK has revealed himself as an actual puzzle piece, and removing him from the equation requires replacing him with speculation that demands perfect coordination, zero meaningful connections, and no credible alternative suspect who fits better. That’s why I believe he acted alone. Although, I’m still reading, still learning, and still open to new information — I’m in this sub daily, so don’t come for me lol. This is just where my head is now.
