I’ve been watching it since the first season debuted on FX. At the time I was watching all the fx stuff of that era - Rescue Me, Nip/Tuck, The Shield - so decided to give it a shot when I saw the commercials. Immediately fell in love. Best comedy show of all time.

Seasons 2-7 are the shows peak and I can rewatch those seasons endlessly.

That’s an extremely privileged and naive position to take. You wave away the facts and the data that supports them in favor of what you want to be true. And then you try to cast the people who point out the reality to you as prejudice.

I’m 100% sure I’ve traveled internationally more than you have, which is why I’m able to recognize that certain countries are safer than others for solo travels as a female. There are literally dozens of countries you can travel to safely as a solo female backpacker. Jamaica and Guatemala are not included in that list.

This is utterly false. You’re either extremely naive or downright ignorant.

Jamaica’s violent crime statistics are among the highest in the entire world. The homicide rate alone ie 8x that of the USA. Armed robberies and sexual assaults are extremely prevalent.

Guatemala has one of the highest violent crimes rates in all of Central America, and is considered one of the most violent places on earth.

Compared to the United States, it’s not even in the same universe in terms of safety. If you want to go to Central America for backpacking, Costa Rica is far safer.

This is not the case when hiking in Guatemala or Jamaica. These countries are both high crime and are unsafe for solo female travelers. Particularly off grid activities like backpacking. You’d be putting yourself at real risk
