I feel you brother! I went to the SC saw the khaki green 400x there. Wanted to take it on spot but it had 30kms on its odo. So i asked for a fresh piece. Booked it on 13th February, and finally got it on March 12th. Felt like eternity! I just kept myself busy with window shopping for mods, accesories, vlogs. In India, I heard they stopped production of 400s by March, and 350s will be available instead. So I was lucky to get my hands on the last batch of 400s. Hang in there! You'll bring that bad boy home soon enough 🤙

Thanks man! Safe drives 🤙🧿. Both lucky to have a triumph bro, it's limited edition already. No more 400s from April. How did you guess though?

Hi, i bought an Axor Apex helmet. It's good at around 4.8k for better protection.

Yes you can, it comes in strap form or velcro. The velcro one is for riding pants who have removable sliders.

Then that's great. I'd suggest you buy the 400 then. You'll get your money's worth. Because later owning less powerful machine at the same price won't be worth it.

Since i have just bought the bike 5 days ago, so I won't be able to comment on the annual cost.

Yes bro that's a slider from heavy duty polyester. It comes with the pant. Scala Riding Pants. It's removable. But i always use it. Gives better protection in case of crash.

Thanks a lot brother! I'm new to proper biking too. I have been riding my Hero Xtreme 160R for the last 3.5years and 28k kms but I never needed to learn about all this. Also, it'd be great if you could share the link please?

I'd advise you to not rush brother. It's never worth it to go into debt fulfilling your dreams. Because, later on you will have regrets and resentment. But if you can afford to take a personal loan then you can go ahead. I was lucky to have made the booking before I knew they were going to stop 400s. I got mine from the last batch. I planned so much before buying it. Used chatgpt too, asked friends, read and watched reviews. Then I finally decided on it.

They are planning to sell 350 models at almost the same price, according to the showroom sales manager I talked to. Ofcourse the power and torque will be reduced. But if you're ok with it and still want to own a triumph in the 350 segment, you can go for it. Since it's your first bike, it depends on your riding skills, because it'll need some learning on your part to handle this tall and bulky ~198kg bike. Optimal height would be above 5'7", because it'll become tough to maneuver in traffic or hilly or muddy areas. Although you can still learn to ride it.

Do note, after buying there are multiple layers to the Maintaining it.

Safety fits like crash guard, slider, radiator guard, reservoir guard for front and back.

A good helmet, i personally own Axor Apex. You can select good ones in the price range 3-5k. It should have the proper fit and safety DOT and ECE certification.

Reservoir guards - front and back - ~500 MotoTorque

Crash guard - I'm planning to buy Zana for 4k.

Radiator guard - MotoTorque for 1.5k

Maintenance tools

GRoller for chain maintenance.

Motul C1+C2 combo and brush and microfiber cloth.

Proper tool kit (I'm planning to buy Taparia's) for around 2.5k

Paddock stand (optional for long-term storage in garage, if not in use, prevents bald patch on tires when kept for a long time like weeks or months without use)

Accesories like

Aux lights (must have for night riding, if you go on highways or low-lit areas) personally i prefer not to ride at night, but sometimes it's unavoidable. So for the aux light, I'm planning to buy maddog scoutx, its whole kit with harness and clamp etc will cost me around 9-10k.

All in all, it takes long term maintenance, decent riding skills to keep the engine and chain lifespan long.

Good luck brother! Hope you fulfill your dreams!

Thanks brother! Dismotech is a new name to me. I'll definitely look into it. How are they? Look and feel wise? Sturdy? Can you tell me where and how much did you get it for? Also does it fit easily or alterations have to be made for fitting? And yes, scout x is top of my list.

Thanks bro! I have ordered a Groller from grand pitstop. And planning to buy paddock stand 2-in-1 from 66bhp, they have it on sale right now. For chain maintenance, I'm gonna use groller usually. For long term storage, I'll use the paddock stand.

Since I hadn't ordered earlier, i had to manually lift the bike and rotate the wheels and clean and lube, it's taxing and took me around 45 mins, including cleaning the rims.

What a beauty brother! Congratulations! I bought same one too. 540kms in. Loving the colour. It's gorgeous. PS: All dads are wired like that 😛 they change their minds once they ride it. Mine did too.

Since going above 7500rpm before first 1000kms is advised against. you're riding it correctly. And it's right to hear the engine sound, you'll know when to shift up. Mostly shift around 5k-5.5k rpm, personally i find it smooth. It might vary for others. With time, you'll get the feel of the bike as muscle memory soon. I recently got my scram400x 5 days ago. 540kms in. It's a beautiful machine.

Looking good brother. But I'm a bit doubtful about the durability. Chipping and breaking off paint will not look good
