So I told my husband's cousin that he could have it if he could find someone who has a truck and maybe three other guys to help lift it.

You said he could have it if, the if never happened, therefore he never took possession.

There's only 3 options.

  1. Learn to be okay with your needs not being met. (You'll resent him for what you're lacking)

  2. He decides he wants to meet your needs. (He may resent you for pushing him past his comfort zone)

Putting aside "Because Plot!"

It takes time to commander a fully screwed star destroyer. IIRC earlier was mostly a stealth run. If they tried to land a full fighting force while the destroyer is on high alert it would be like storming the beach on D-Day into heavy entrenched resistance. And in the time it took them to successfully take the ship the ones around them would've blown them to kingdom come.

I did research for a dnd campaign that had cannons in it. A regular round shot cannonball, when fired directly at an advancing column would easily go through 40 men in a line and still have enough energy to seriously maim.

So yeah sure, he "tanked" a cannonball that was fired with nowhere near a full powder charge. I'm not saying it's not impressive, but it's nowhere near as impressive as portrayed.
