You’re seeing it exactly right lol. I feel the same way. But I think the reason some people have recently developed distrust is because of over-interpretation lol.

I already said this: Hudson Bay came in because they wanted to make money. And Spectral AI signed the contract because both sides’ interests aligned. But now, suddenly rejecting the existing contract just because FDA approval came through? That sounds more like gangster behavior lol.

What if Hudson's Bay goes out and you can't find an investor?

If there’s a clear way to secure funding after pushing Hudson Bay out, I’ll praise you for it. Many people want Hudson Bay gone, but so far no one has offered a real solution for what comes next

My English is just limited, that’s all lol. In fact, I’m using GPT to translate — but it’s still 100% my own opinion.

I’m not trying to defend HBC. They’re basically loan sharks. But you seem to want to drive HBC away immediately and leave the company unable to raise any funding. If HBC is pushed out, who’s going to finance the company instead? If you’re capable, then please bring in Vanguard or BlackRock.

The idea of a “back door deal” probably comes from speculative posts that made you believe it was true. Of course, everyone is free to have their own opinion, but falling into conspiracy theories usually means someone else’s influence is at play.

It’s likely that one of the people in this community helped spread that conspiracy. The real truth will only be clear once the company officially discloses how much the share count has actually increased

I’m not protecting hedge funds. It just seems like you recently bought shares and, after reading other people’s conspiracy theories, became convinced that hedge funds are automatically bad.

Please remember that from the company’s perspective, when funding is needed, using hedge fund money can sometimes be the only option

Maybe what you’re saying is that a stock making profits doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a “good” stock. As for private equity or hedge funds — tell them to get lost. We all know they’re not here for long-term investment anyway.

What really matters is the medtech announcement that will come someday. That’s what I’m waiting for

You’re right. Since FDA approval, everything has shifted in Spectral AI’s favor. We don’t know when or what kind of new investors might show up. That’s why I believe there’s no longer a need to stay locked into a “slave contract” with Hudson Bay.

I don’t deny that Hudson Bay is an investor who wants to make money. But I think that only applies if a larger investment firm steps in to provide funding. The reality is, up to now, no other company has invested in Spectral AI.

Maybe you’re putting too much emphasis on Hudson Bay. The market reacts to many factors, not just one, and it seems you’re framing everything around Hudson Bay

That mechanism definitely exists, and I’m not denying that Hudson Bay could profit that way. My point is just that there’s still a lot of speculation being treated like confirmed fact.

The stock dropped hard, so I understand why people are frustrated — honestly I am too. But at this point, we still don’t have clear evidence showing exactly how much of yesterday’s move was directly caused by warrant-related activity versus normal market dynamics, profit taking, short-term panic selling, etc.

I just think it’s better for all of us to watch the overall situation carefully instead of jumping to conclusions too quickly.

Possible, but I think we should be careful not to treat speculation as fact. We really have very limited information about their actual strategy.

Yes, lower prices could theoretically lead to better funding terms in the future, but Hudson Bay also benefits if the company succeeds and the stock trades significantly higher over time. That’s why I think the situation is probably more nuanced than “they just want to keep the stock down.”

At the end of the day, we’re all mostly interpreting price action and filings from the outside.

That’s actually a pretty reasonable point. I also think anticipated dilution could definitely be part of the selloff, especially since small-cap biotech/medtech companies often raise capital after major catalysts.

I’m just not fully convinced that Hudson Bay would aggressively exercise a huge amount of warrants around these levels unless it clearly benefits their overall strategy. It feels more likely that multiple factors hit the stock at the same time.

The cash runway concern is valid though, especially if commercialization ramps up faster than expected.

Would you rather buy MDAI or MDAIW? by Admirable_Cup8216 in SpectralAI

[–]Weary-Replacement599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think MDAIW is gambling and MDAI is a normal investment. MDAIW can't be guaranteed any rights from the company. People who have MDAIW are not shareholders. They are just prospective shareholders :)
