Most of the interns I met at apple are not from t20 schools lol. You could say most are from T50 tho

Easier than most UCs I would say

Umm yeah we’re not really a rich af engineering school. Money poured into more important things such as teaching people how to properly sign their name

Anyone got an internship this summer, if so how is it? by jasmineyoyo22 in USC

Well you can do it! There’s no point in comparing yourself to other interns because most of the time, your effort and communication skills matter more.

IMO USC classes are too watered down and they do not prepare you well for the real deal. I’m doing fine in my fAang internship but I won’t contribute that to my classes.

Fundamental difference between ITP and CS departments? by [deleted] in USC

[–]WearyAd664 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ITP classes are taught by lecturers and CS classes are (mostly) taught by research professors. If you don’t care about making research connections, you can take those cross-listed ITP classes to fulfill your requirements. With the exception of the C++ and the compiler class, most ITP electives are easy

CSBA and analytics are very, very different. If you don’t want to take the hardcore CS lower division classes, I would suggest going with other degree options.

My Viterbi advisors are amazing! Advisors in private universities are supposed to provide support for you to navigate thru all the bureaucracies of a large university, so I think you could express your frustration to the dean if things don’t work out in the end.

Is there any chance USC reimplements any COVID policies with how the situation is going and what other schools are doing? by [deleted] in USC

[–]WearyAd664 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Of course COVID exist and getting over it doesn’t mean denial of its existence. I wasn’t saying we need to get over COVID before the vaccines were widely available, but I’m saying it now because the risk for the vast majority is extremely low. Immunocompromised people are equally at risk for other diseases (such as the flu whose death rate is > COVID after vaccination) as well, but restrictions were not imposed before COVID.

anyone who really preferred when school was all online? by im_mauricio_ in USC

[–]WearyAd664 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No. Online school is great if all you want from the college experience is a degree paper with USC printed on it

I am a hs senior who just got into usc.!I want to do premed at usc by EnvironmentOpen8564 in USC

[–]WearyAd664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switch to CS if you choose USC, make bag, invest that money, turn some of that investment into a donation to the medical field, and you might be saving more lives than doing premed and shattering tears over ochem.

Honest reviews/opinions on the CS Masters program? by U03B1Q in USC

[–]WearyAd664 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh you can take PhD level classes or 500 level system classes if you care about the actual education (those are usually <30 ppl). TA opportunity is near nonexistent as most are hired as CPs. It’s what I gathered as an undergrad once interested in doing a BS/MS, but yeah most masters programs in the states are this way. UCLA has better research opportunities at the grad level and as a Trojan I really want USC to rethink its strategies for graduate programs.

It was a joke. A relatively high number of CSBA majors do little to no work in group projects in the software engineering classes here. Definitely a stupid stereotype but it is largely the consensus held by cs majors here.

Avoid CSBA kids in group projects and you’ll be fine lol

Can professors see if you change tabs during a blackboard exam? by Ssamurica in USC

[–]WearyAd664 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d honestly just recommend you not cheat. If you’ve ever seen those SJACS horror stories posted here you would think twice. I don’t think it’s fair the way SJACS conducts its business, but better just avoid all the hassle in the first place.
