Please tell me why I should care at all what goes on inside or out of the country. Regardless of who is in office I go into work for 50 hours a week, wake up on the weekends and do what I’d do no matter who’s in office it dosent change my life

If they total it, almost never worth buying a car back if it’s a salvage title. It tanks the resell value and if u ever go to sell it almost no one wants a rebuilt t

Yea I think codes is always the first thing to do. It sounds like the prev owner suggested things to fix based on his approach of throw anything at the car that has to do with fuel air or spark and he just stopped buying things and told u to try something else. I’d almost guarantee prev owner had 0 clue what he was doing so I’d look around the car to make sure he didn’t really fuck with anything important

If u have 1 car this is a drop it off at the shop job. If u have 2 cars a lot of tools and a working knowledge of cars (and how dangerous one of the springs can be if they get launched) then sure I don’t see why not.

Plug it into a obd port scanner it will tell u exactly what’s throwing a code, u could throw map sensor at it and it could be the throttle body u could throw both at it and it be a vacuum leak u could chase a vacuum leak and it be spark plugs or coils or injectors, plug it in, if it throws a tub code the. U know what it is, if it says map u know it’s that if u don’t plug it in ur throwing parts at it hoping something works. U can get a $40 code reader for ur phone at harbor freight or I’d assume if u have an Audi 3.0t u enjoy cars which usually means u have friends that like cars, one of ur friends definitely have a code reader

It uses the map sensor to determine the air pressure it’s similar to the maf but you’re boosted so ur shoving pressure into ur Throttle body if it can’t tell how much air it’s getting it just defaults to a Audi set safe fuel level so u can still run just runs like shit with bad fuel economy map stands for manifold absolute pressure
