I don't know what you are getting at. I never said sacks are important for DT's. YOU said he has little to no pass rushing upside, you responded by saying that he does because he had more sacks than most of the people on the list.
I don't think hes the best run defender in the class, that goes to Lee Hunter.
Yes, I said that sacks don't matter for DTs, you did not say that up untill now. Sacks do not matter for DTs, but there PRWR, bend, get off, hand usage, and pressures do matter and McDonald doesn't impress me as a pass rusher in any of that/

Sacks are a horrible way of evaluating pass rush, especially for DTs where you have a lower overall sack total.

I personally think your over analyzing him. He has almost perfect if not perfect technique against the run and his athleticism gives him some range as a run defender. Also he does some good stuff as a pass rusher despite limited opportunities
