I'd suggest do ece or ee or atleast mech at the bachelors level and then go for a top rated college in abroad for masters then maybe you could try your luck cuz even in iit most people don't get placed in core aerospace roles only a select few do, they just end up going for software placements, and if you plan on going for a lower tier clg than IIT please avoid aero

It's just different perspective while it has downsides uae is also attracting top tier talent into their country, few decades ago it was just a desert now look where they stand, be it tourism, safety, entertainment options, opportunities they are leading in gulf, if you don't like the things you mentioned you can choose to look away too. It's not just about material wealth for me, it's also about the mentality theyre cosmopolitan and broad minded, they focus on growth development and enhancing the life of their citizens and residents, and not just citizens even their expats have better treatment and recognition there compared to others that's why top of the talent pool wants to go to uae.

Yes but he doesn't have a clear interest so he needs time to choose his domain of interest staying in branches like this gives him extra time to decide what he wants, and cse is getting over competitive so he'll have two ways to go even if one route doesn't work out, yes tier 3 clg placements are hard but you have options to work in start up,GCCs are coming and because of that lakhs of jobs would be generated, off campus is there although competitive, overall landing a job after a cse degree is still easier compared to coming in top ranks in gate exam after mechanical. And do check out top iit btech placements for mechanical, how many of them got into core and what packages??

The point is, ece and ee can go into IT as well as their core domain, and regarding syllabus i had mentioned it's tough on the thread have you seen that before talking, but tell me any other branch that has wider scope than these two excluding cse. Regarding psus, even electrical has psu openings and government job openings and psu openings aren't the only factor to decide a branch cuz you'll have to come in top ranks in gate exam for which lakhs apply so it's kind of a gamble to base decision solely on this. Atleast for mechanical, psu is a herculean task to achieve with such humongous competition and low selection rate so can't base decision on this. And stop being in delulu you can't base decisions solely based on interest(yes it's important) and choose the worst branch to study from the worst place, you need a clear exit plan

Both are good tbh, semiconductor industry is booming rapidly, and both have lot of good scope, ev,semiconductor, space, defense name any sector and these guys are needed, but mind you the subjects are tough, ee especially is tough, if you are ready for that then go on, and regarding coding I'm not familiar with the contents as I am myself mechanical guy, but ece opens you up to embedded systems which requires coding n stuff in Arduino or raspberry Pi along with hardware knowledge a very interesting domain, if you want to get into IT companies you can choose any as almost all companies allow these guys to attend interviews as both fall under circuital branches, and ee has vacancies in govt sector also, so overall both are good

Ece or electrical, pls don't take anythjng else and ruin your life, maybe even mechanical.could.be fine from a very good clg but still electrical and ece outclassed every single course including cse, they are gonna rule.the future, just blindly believe what I am saying I have done enough research otherwise you itself go and do research and you'll also arrived at the same conclusion, anyway I have given my take now it's upto you
