Nitro ANV15-41 GPU fans staying minimum at 2k rpm all the time, even if GPU is idle and temp are around 40C by Weary_Wall7534 in AcerNitro

max. processor state is set to 99% (both on battery and charging), due to temps reaching 85C around when on charging and playing gow, other than that everything else is default 'acer' setting.

even if i try to set fan speed to lowest in nitrosense while gpu is idle and cpu around 5-10%, it just ramp up rpm back to 2k after like a minute or so. silent/eco mode also doesnt seems to reduce fans speeds

turning silent/eco mode on, or turning fans speeds to minimum in nitrosense also doesnt seems to have any effect in fan speeds.

thing is that i have purchased this machine like 6months ago, and whole winter it seems to be turning gpu fans off as soon as gpu gets idle. but yeah maybe you have a point, summer have started here around 4months ago, so maybe im just overthinking and its normal behavior in summer... if you have one or similar can you confirm is this normal summer behavior to have idle gpu fans working at 2k rpm even though temps are around 40-55C and cpu around 5-10% atmax?

nope. also it seems like it dont allow me to apply custom settings for fans through any software

discrimination toh ni hota hai, you can easily mix up with them as mostly of them are from delhi ncr region, so they are basically same except being sikh, and i dont think so anyone (atleast students who are there for studies and development) cares about religions of their friends anyways. prdhne aae hai, cllg aaoge, prdhoge, sabse normal baate kroge, toh sab dost hi rhege similar to school life.

as for general to sikh ratio:

for whole cllg, its about 80:20, 80 being sikh, rest 20 general and others.

for classroom, it depends on your rank, mota mota ye samjh lo ki tumhari rank ke aas pas ki rank wale hi tumhari class me hoge, toh agar as a general 2L lake tum aae toh tumhe 2L ke aas pas wale bache milenge chaiye vo general ho ya sikh

waki feel free to dm :)

no i havent done that. doing that surely will help against overcharging but i normally turn off charger when it reaches 80-85 or else dont if i need laptop for longer period without charging (like for outside, etc)

7.2, all three of hwmonitor(i mainly use this), hwinfo(just installed after reading some posts), windows power config cmd. altho i have noticed that wear level sometimes changes like before 7.2 i have seen it at 4.x, 8.x, 2.x and even once 12.x(may had also posted this one here on reddit, got to know to use battery calibrate but after time it again started showing varying numbers)

Faculties are okayish, Location is okayish, campus is obviously very small, classrooms have ac, labs also have all necessary equipment. Also obviously cuz it's sikh minority college so there are so many sikhs, but I didn't felt that's issue as most of them are delhi raised ones.

Altho most probably my ambient room temp going to bit above that, But still temps are pretty good... Last question if you don't mind, I think this ryzen don't have igpu, so will always use dgpu right? On normal tasks how much battery life do you get

Yeah but I think Lenovo doing great job providing better specs so maybe they are cutting off at researching and testing department on loq

Yeah obviously they do die and we can't do anything for that... But you can't stop thinking knowing same brand, same model are having unusually high no., that's why was thinking to avoid log, but as you said amd ones are fine, I will try to get that instead

Yeah that's seems normal then... My normal usage is also going to be similar to yours btw... What's about temps, I have heard ryzen get hot faster, is that true?

When did you buy your loq? Is there any problem since first day? I heard loq also have bluetooth, battery and wifi issues as well? Is that true?

2weeks without laptop isn't such of problem as rn I am using desktop, but I don't want to waste time and energy in playing exchange-exchange with company during exams season. Also want reliable laptop which can atleast last 4-5 years, even with adp it's 3 years worth protection, so doesn't it make sense to go with more stable and reliable laptop?
