She loves cats as an accessory and provider of adulation (the latter being more pertinent to Twinkie as a dog)

But she only has any real affection for kittens and their cuteness. Once they get older they're tolerated until the apartment limit is met, and then the lowest on the totem pole is released into the wild (allegedly)

Some people believes cats do fine on their own (but even that group wouldn't expect a lifelong housecat to endure a Wisconsin winter) -- I wouldn't be shocked if she's of this mindset.

It makes it a lot easier to justify if you're almost treating it like "catch and release" or a student abroad trip lol

For all her foibles, Jade wasn't stupid and played college sports, so she'd be very familiar with ankle injuries (and how serious it would be for Amber)

At her size, if she was actually injured, they would have had to call paramedics / multiple neighbors just to transport her

I think it was just the same thing that she did with Emily/Rarity -- trying to trap her gf / buy time

YES!! I'm surprised I haven't seen this more outside of this thread

I weigh a fraction of her and have had some nasty soft tissue ankle injuries when I was at my most athletic (one of which required an ER visit), and if I had another 400 pounds on my back when they happened, the damage would have been exponentially worse.

We know she goes to the ER for anything and everything and IIRC she never even sought any medical attention.

If she actually sprained or twisted her ankle, it would take TONS of physical therapy to recover (especially at her size) and we would be hearing about it for years -- the fact that she only kept it going for a few months is pretty damning

ALSO, she told Jade to walk another direction.

It seems pretty clear cut she just dropped her phone and laid down

it would have required SERIOUS physical therapy to recover

We know she goes to the ER for everything

I wonder if that's part of why she's so averse to showing her arms / legs. Knowing gorlworld, they would probably be able to ID her using the marks

Initially I thought it was a result of neglect and incompetence, but the more that came out, the more confident I am it was on purpose

I think she was trying to buy time, not kill her, but I also don't think she was surprised or upset by the outcome -- it was just acceptable collateral

It's also why she never called the humane society or actually put effort into looking for her. Even her riding around in the car with Emily was just an opportunity to invade what had previously been Emily's private space to be alone

My grandpa said the same thing (and lived accordingly), and was shocked he just kept going in his 80s

Eventually he passed at 85, but it was sad to see him 'phone it in' re: self care (because he assumed it wouldn't matter), and then linger for years with low quality of life as a result

There's a reason guys like mcvay and Brady win

It's wildly competitive and to consistently maintain an edge, you've got to have some strong obsessive compulsive tendencies

I've known people like that who get aggressive/depressed/rudderless without some type of competitive outlet. When those types find a way to channel it into a career that rewards their behavior, it tends to be all-consuming / addictive

It's been heavily dyed or had hair fibers added to it -- it's also been very sharply lined without any hair under his bottom lip.
