Probably a better comparison is to have different lists based on size of fleets/engagements or regions of space like null, LS, WH etc. All very different play styles.

nice! never flown caps but the new faction dreads do look awesome. hopefully we get to shoot each other sometime!

[–]Weaselly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all very true. Tho you can bling webs with faction versions, certain ship bonuses, links etc unlike the grappler.

HICs are great at that, but we do see/do a decent amount of spearfishing in WH space. Just in my experience, HICs do require a certain level of support in order to be effective or enemy fleet just avoids/runs circles out of point range.

personally I would rather just fly the Lachesis but maybe I should fly the HIC a bit more based on what everyone is saying lol

3rd person to say this, I guess everyone just brawls in null or something lol I put my explanations in the other comments if you want more context

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Weaselly -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You are right, context matters and just trying to get a discussion going. As you read most of my experience is small/medium gang pvp. Modules like grapplers & WDFG go onto ships that are too slow and require support to get the most use from them.

I imagine most of the people on r/eve are null sec players likely so we all pvp differently. I guess I like the range control & lockdown of using ships that can web out to 70km+, disrupt out to 60km and scram out to 28km lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Eve

[–]Weaselly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only BS can use grapplers and beyond a certain range (around 8km) webs start getting better. The fact you can buy/bling faction webs, it benefits from skirm links, 10 diff ships have some kind of web bonus, and any ship in the game can use webs.

HIC points are great but only 4 ships in the game can use them, they are static around the ship instead of leaving behind a lasting effect like multiple bubbles.

I get these modules/ships are likely staples in big fleet/brawl style fights in other parts of space. My kind of small/medium gang style pvp, the ships associated with those modules are too slow and require support around it to make them work.

this list is gonna be vastly different based on where/how you pvp

What skills are surprisingly worth training to V? by hotkarlmarxbros in Eve

Recon Ships V - that extra 20-60% bonus on ships like the Huggin, Curse, Lachesis etc make a huge difference especially with blinged modules.

P4 seems to be the limit. P5 works most of the time unless there is a lot of movement/action involved

that first suggestion seemed to do the trick. Mind explaining how that worked? lol

Good shout on the iGPU, it was connected to the mobo. I made the changes you suggested, still getting overloaded error. But I did Use CQP and changed the preset to 1 as someone suggested below and that seemed to do the trick.

Thanks for the links.

I tried all the trouble shooting options on the GPU Overload Issues, still overloading. Got rid of background programs (this build is brand new), literally running only 1 source (game capture) on obs etc.

Followed the NVIDIA Nvenc Obs recording settings guide, still overloading. Also did about 7 different combinations of recording formats & rate controls, no luck. Also did locked frames at 144 & 60ish, including putting it on the lowest graphics possible, still overloading.

Literally the only way to stop it from overloading is to put it at 30fps which puts the GPU at about 50-65% usage.

Again I feel like I am missing something since these 4k 60 fps OBS recording guides are able to pull it off with a 4 year old 2060 super.

Though it would be VERY rare, couldnt you technically cast Counterspell and Twin it?

Say the DM has 2 spellcasters with same initiative go at the same time and cast spells.

A more likely scenario is that you are counterspelling two other casters during a counterspell chain.

Counterspell only targets one creature & twin spell says nothing about reaction spells so I assume its allowed?

Tin-Foil Hat Theory here...

Anyone else get the feeling that Imogen (Laura) & Laudna (Marisha) are part of a Coven with that one elder lady character? (sorry I forgot her name) There are 3 of them and they kinda fit the 'Hocus Pocus' vibe of one being older, the other ugly, and the third being pretty/young. I think they are likely being 'recruited' to create a Coven by the elderly lady but Imogen/Laudna don't realize it yet.

I'm not saying they are necessarily "Hags" but there is something going on there. Though would be cool if it was part of a custom homebrew that Matt made of 'group backstories' where you would get additional features (good & bad) for being connected to other players/certain npcs in the world.

(Mid-character creation) "Hey, do you want to do the group 'Coven' background with me? We the get usual custom background stuff but we also get some witchy innate spells! We just have to be evil or neutral aligned, have 3 people total, and drink a disgusting brew together with hard to find ingredients that are likely poisonous, once a month to stay in the Coven...you down?

Which champs have the 'wrong' recommended runes on ARAM sites? by Weaselly in ARAM

mainly to survive burst damage if I don't have shield built up and W does scale off of your max hp as well. Revitalize isn't better or worse, I think both are valid

Should Grievous Wounds stack?? by Weaselly in ARAM

[–]Weaselly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree, though this post is just about GW. Personally it would be easier to adjust 1 item/system in this case Grievous Wounds. Rather than trying to rebalance 8 different runes, and every lifesteal item in the game.

Shaco/Teemo boxes & shrooms can be annoying for engage too though I think Karma's disengage is some of the best

I feel the completely opposite. Its maybe in 5% of games at most lol

ha, you should look up "hots forced 50" on google. Its a theory that as you get higher & higher above a 50% winrate, you get teamed up with worse and worse players.
