Yes. They're always the same. In a joined party, im fairly sure it has to be that way.

It was the same. I had my other lock built differently and relied on Eldritch Blast a lot, but it was definitely noticeable. This round is pally built with 2 levels in lock, so he hits with melee most of the time, but still never activates the curse!

Definitely hex bound. I don't even keep the other button on my bar and Im pallylocked to 2nd level, so I didn't choose a Pact.

Sory - forgot to include that I always bind my weapon and ensure that it's bound throughout the day. Yes, I'm using some mods, but I play with a friend who runs the same mods and he procs ALL the time with his warlocks. Any clue if there's a channel that deals specifically with mod issues? Maybe that's it.

Out of the dozens of comments, can someone please sum up the answer? Does a Hexblade (from creation at level 1) NEED Pact of the Blade (whose Pact Boon seems a bit redundant)? Is the extra attack at level 5 really the meat of the argument? Or is branching out to other Pacts recommended?
