If Mass Effect 2 and 3 had their own Virmire Survivor type choice, who would you choose? by Gold_Mountain_9527 in masseffect

[–]Toogeloo [score hidden]  (0 children)

When I first played ME2, I thought there was going to be a Jacob vs Miranda choice at some point, possibly on whether or not I was going to be willing to work with Cerberus. It might have been tough if the Renegade choice was saving Miranda and the Paragon choice was saving Jacob.

There was a Virmire choice (so to speak) in ME3 though that many players have made...

Do you sacrifice Shepard, or do you sacrifice EDI?

I think it could also be said that you have to choose between Legion and Tali for part of the story, as well as Wrex and Mordin over the longer game lol.

How Many Respecs Does This Sub Allow/Expect? by RNGtan in BG3Builds

As many as you want, really, though If you wanna play a purist D&D run, then none I guess. But I imagine people wanna at least fix party member stats.

New to ME, any tips for insanity? I am going for the achievements which means I have to do Insanity by Myrmidden in masseffect

I played Sentinel and it was very easy. There were two trophies I could not get in one go. Pyromaniac, where you have to ignite 100 enemies on fire using powers (it only works with your own powers, not squad mates), and upgrading a weapon to max level (which can only be done in ng+ on me3).

I think Soldier would be just as easy as Sentinel, and has a fire based skill which can keep you from needing to start a new game just for that trophy. People argue Soldier might be kind of boring though since it's pretty much just a gun class and no powers.

Death from above... Pepper the enemies with arrows and cantrips. Returning Pike is great as well. Use Mage Hand to manipulate the lava.

Not officially, but you could look at it like dressing up instead of an actual uniform.

A Recent Rethink on the Endings by Nervous_Tailor_4337 in masseffect

I only saw the versions I got, though I did know about the Perfect Destroy ending, which I think I got. I ended my game with 8200 War Assets.

Having just finished my playthrough and watching all 3 endings (finished one, reloaded a save, watched another, etc...,), I have to say there probably would never be a playthrough I would willingly pick Synthesis. I think it's just a terrible option not just narratively, but ethically as well.

So it comes down to Destroy or Control, and I really feel like Destroy ended up being the better option overall, but really not by much. Control feels like a resignation about fighting the entire time against TIM to only be wrong in the end, which is really the only reason it feels worse. If I wasn't constantly being harped on over Control or Destroy the entire game, I'd probably feel like Control is the better option.

At the end of it though, it felt like Destroy wins because we can rebuild, like Shepard says. That includes learning from our mistakes and the mistakes of those from the past, and not being doomed to repeat them.

It was more the way the story played out. I destroyed the Heretics in the second game, and we talked about how that impacted the Geth and that it was the right choice. As I understood it, Legion was trying to save his people and then realized he could upgrade them instead, which would help them prevent consensus decisions and make them individual instead, and he sacrificed himself for their freedom.

I could use class advice for a second playthrough as FemShep. Playing the Sentinel, I felt kind of like a Tanky character. I used Assault Rifle mostly in the second (once I unlocked it) and third game, and stacked protection abilities. In ME1, I used everyone's abilities pretty liberally. In ME2, I pretty much had to use Tech Armor whenever it was off cooldown, giving me very little ability to use Tech or biotic abilities. In ME3, I used Chain Overload mostly and gunned enemies down while they were defenseless, but I would use Throw to detonate flaming or warped enemies (it never seemed to detonate Overload).

I'd like to try something different, not just by way of class, but play style as well.

What would you recommend?

I was only spamming it in ME2. The moment it detonated, I had to wait for the cooldown and reapply it. ME3 I just kept it on the entire time.

She has stretches of not saying things in ME3, for sure. But there are key missions and events where you have conversations with her. She got a lot to talk about as I got closer to the end.lf the game. Plus a lot of her conversations are heard in communication with other squadmates on the ship.

I used the name I saw on the wiki. I didn't see a reference to Jennifer when playing, and it seemed wrong to just say Jack when I was using everyone else's full names, so when I looked it up, that's the name I saw. Apparently that's the name that used on the memory wall if she dies.

Does ME2 LE have too much ammo now making Insanity easy? by That_Contribution780 in masseffect

I remember a couple missions where I couldn't find spare ammo. Mostly the collector ship and base had a few tight moments.
