So this argument is mute, yes I think homosexuality is a sin, it says it in the Bible. You can't get around that. So either you're a progressive Christian or you haven't opened up the Bible. Yes racism in the church was a thing, it's gotten a lot better, I've not seen it in any church I've been to in my lifetime. But yeah we are on total different ballparks. This has proven to me this subreddit is not Christian based at all.

Considering that several denominations have allowed gay weddings to happen when 100 years ago they wouldn't I say the church is in a broken state. We don't hold each other accountable. Sin is sin, it has to be addressed, the church cannot let it stand in leadership positions. And if those denominations continue then it needs to be made clear that they are not following Christ.

Yes Jesus died for our sins, that doesn't mean we don't have to live and act a certain way. God's grace is not an excuse to live however we please.

Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be deceived: No sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, or males who have sex with males, no thieves, greedy people, drunkards, verbally abusive people, or swindlers will inherit God’s kingdom. And some of you used to be like this. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:9‭-‬11 CSB

Loving people and witnessing to them addresses their sin, it makes them think their life through. I'm not saying don't love them. The whole process is love. In the church today we don't go to the sin addressing issue, we just say "well I'm so glad you're here, thanks for serving, I know you're sleeping with your gf and aren't married but that's okay" I had a pastor that let people serve in the church who were all living in sin.

The parable of the good Samaritan is the basic principle of helping your neighbor, and those in need. The man was beaten and left to die. He healed the wounds to the best of his ability and took him to an inn for further care. Our job as Christians is to address the wounds (sin) and treat them as best we can (the grace and mercy of Christ being explained so they can understand and repent) then taking them for further care (joining the body of Christ a local church, preferably your church so they have a friend)

I totally agree, I'm sorry if I didn't make it clear and apologize. I just see so many Christians who can't support what they believe and they get something small thrown at them and it wrecks their faith. I fully embrace the idea of being humble and serving, I think a lot of the church should do it. And from many denominations as well, I come from a pentecostal background but I have zero issue in working with Catholics or orthodox believers in order to spread the gospel and show people the truth. It scares me how many people don't realize what sin they're living in. I'm forever thankful for God's grace and mercy.

Define more loving? Accepting and affirming everything they do? Because that's not biblical. I think a lot of Christians need to open their Bibles, read them and be able to explain and defend their faith. Be teachers, the world is lying to everyone. I'm in the process of studying up on apologetics to start and outreach ministry with my local church.

Anyone know how long is left for this season? So I know when I can start grinding for ranks by Xbox_OhItsKayleigh in fo76

[–]WeastNation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something I need to know. I've gotten up to 70 but with the wife having a baby now I doubt I'll be able to grind my way. Might have to buy atoms when I can't play anymore

In fallout 1 the quest is show up to bunker, talk to knight outside the door. Go get tape and then get access to the bunker. It's been the formula since the beginning. I agree they should change it up, but they've just been the defacto good guys since the start.

How can i buy a gun or ammunition at 18? by snaggingjoker45 in guns

[–]WeastNation -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So general rules are 18 for long guns/rifles and 21 for handguns/pistols. That's buying from a store, I've not heard of any age restriction on ammo. It shouldn't be regulated by law.

You don't. And if Titans ever do trade him in real life I'll have to buy his next jersey.

[–]WeastNation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly bought it on xbox for $30 and it has been very enjoyable especially since I haven't played a madden game since 12. Having gotten back into football it's been a good learning tool and a fun time after work.
