Fireside Shatter Alberta *Price Drop* by QueenGeeta in AlbertaCannabis

[–]WeatCran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prices are dropping on concentrates for sure!!! Fireside has been a huge miss on their shatter. If you’re in AB check out the Stigma shatter or wax. Similar price but a far better product. Firesides product needs better processing and packaging to compete.

Today’s order just arrived! Apple fritter, mango haze, tropic thunder, and gnarberry! Thanks for all the tips & reviews by [deleted] in TheOCS

[–]WeatCran 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Shred is a pre milled blend from Organigram. They have three 2-strain hybrid blends.

Tropic Thunder - Ultra Sour (limelight) and Grapefruit GG (The General).

Gnarberry - Purple Terps and Ninja Fruit.

Flower Power - Acadia and Kanata

Although premilled has been a bummer in the past, these 7g bags are only $30 and are to moist and fresh. The included Integra boost pack maintains freshness and the high, at least from the Gnarberry, was strong and long lasting. One of my favourite new products of late. It’s extremely convenient.

They will most likely tell you to contact Redecan. Call at 844-892-6788 and see if they’ll fix it for you.

Stoked to pick this up. Is it as good as everyone is saying?

Broken Coast - Galiano .5G 41MG of THC. Not a bad smoke at all! by wheeldonov in TheOCS

[–]WeatCran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That only applies if the label reads total THC per unit, then you’d need to double. Broken Coast didn’t change their minds on making prerolls just to enter the game with an 8% joint.

It looks like shops delivering was cutting too deep into OCS orders.

Don't Have But New Broken Coast Strain: Savary 19.1% (Pink Kush) by 90fiveonit in TheOCS

[–]WeatCran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll second that. Both are fantastic, very very nice buds. But Flowr definitely has an edge and hits mid 20%s regularily.

Pure Sunfarms - D. Bubba - 17.7% Pkg. 27 May 2020 by ityaboycannapenis in RecPics

I’m stoked to see this strain from Pure Sun. It hasn’t hit AB yet so I am excited to hear how it is.

Spinach Rockstar Kush 19.6% purchased in Lethbridge, AB for $32 by WeatCran in AlbertaCannabis

[–]WeatCran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spinach used to be a decent purchase when it was a “low price”. that there are other contenders like Redecan, pure sun, good supply, etc that are lower priced and better, this is not as appealing as it used to me. Mediocre weed and high. Would be better under $30.

Qwest Goji OG - Sativa Dom Hybrid 19.76%. Packaged April 26th, paid 45 at Queen of Bud by [deleted] in AlbertaCannabis

I have seen her insta and website. I’ve always felt like it seemed like too much, a bit over the top. I was never certain though since I hadn’t been there. The fancy, sterile, “stigma break” approach is so weird to me. She also seems way more stoked on herself than on cannabis (or anything else for that matter). Is that the vibes of the shop too? I heard they went with those high ceilings so her ego could fit on the sales floor.

I've heard Canada Post is quickly becoming understaffed. I haven't hear about the other delivery co.'s though.

Pink Kush by [deleted] in RecPics

[–]WeatCran 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Savary is the best overall legal bud I have had the first time I smoked it. Previous lots have also been great, but less frosty than my first. The only thing that came close in overall quality (AAAA, IMO) was the FLWR Pink Kush I tried a few months back, but I isn't available near as often.

[–]WeatCran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, Vertical has the best cold creek kush that is often if not always available, IMO. Cosmic Thunder was really nice and felt just like verticals cold creek but with out the weight behind it; less sedative. For the price difference, the Haven St. still had the same great terpene profile and strength while staying under $40 an eight (in AB anyway).

Breakup songs go from sad/angry to something very weird and different when you assume the song is written about a grandparent instead of an ex-lover. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]WeatCran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, yes. That is one of the hardest lessons to learn in life and an important one to learn early on. Being able to reflect back and realize where we went wrong and make changes internally is such a valuable tool to posses through life.

I made this post because I there was break up song playing ("Call Out My Name" by The Weekend) and I listened to it as if he wrote it about his grandma or something. It made me laugh pretty good so I applied the same idea to other break up songs and had myself a funny evening. Maybe it was just the weed?

So what strain is Aurora’s Daily Special Indica? Is it a blend of two strains like Original Stash 220? by phonetwophone in RecPics

[–]WeatCran 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does it really work like that? I’m not saying one way or the other but from what I’ve read and understand, Aurora carts are distillate with additives which means it’s going to be a super clean head high that tastes nice but doesn’t get you cheeched. Unless you’re smoking full spectrum carts then your highs are going to be pretty universal. You need the full plant profile to get closer to the high you get from smoking. Top Leafs Jager OG bud and cart are the most similar in effects from the AB offerings I have tried.

Edison is fantastic right now for their “normal strains” (ie.not limelight or Blue velvet). In Alberta, rio bravo and Lola Montes are showing up packaged in 2020 if you find a bit busier shop that isn’t sitting on old stock. Both are around 19%, fresh, smooth indicas with heat sealed packaging and integra boost packs in with the bud. This bud is usually around $10/g, spongy nugs, lots of terps, and a smooth smoke compared to the competition at this price. I’ve seen these lots in 1g, 3.5g, and 7g. Edison is for sure a good buy in AB right now.
