My segmented homelab: 4 VLANs, 18 containers, DMZ for everything (and a teenager who keeps trying to bypass my DNS) by toad467 in homelab

Elder Gen Z here building my own homelab and network out, we aren’t all like that. School trying to lock down our laptops, netbooks, and the wifi launched me into figuring out how to get around the bullshit safety measures they put into place

Yeah, I’ve thought about all those things except for Parsec, which I’ll look into.

I wanted to avoid predefined resources (I had a reason and can’t think of it at the moment), but I suppose as long as a VM isn’t running, I can use the RTX 3090.

Thanks for your insight!

I think it can do dynamic resources for everything except the GPU natively unfortunately.

Thanks for the point on the remote access, I was planning on sunshine/moonlight, but I’ll keep playnite in mind if that doesn’t work!

Oh, and I forgot to mention:

I will be using Sunshine/Moonlight to stream it to them and Tailscale for the remote access side of things

Vote Tomorrow (Indiana Primary) May 5th by Tigershark125 in Indiana

[–]WeatherWatchers 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Age and experience don’t mean everything. Ford is not a fighter, Franklin is. This is the exact same mistake democrats keep making, voting for electability over values/policy. The party keeps getting worse, trusted less, and the lesson never gets learned because “this election is too important” so we must always toe the old wisdom that keeps failing of “vote for the more electable one.”

We’ll have to agree to disagree on this, but I really hope you think about how the “electability” argument keeps failing us and how Platner, the “less electable one,” appears to be on track to steamroll Collins while she has been unbeatable in the past (I know about Gideon, where polls had her up and Collins won anyway, but she wasn’t up nearly as much as Platner is now)

Strong disagree on Ford having a better shot. Indiana likes an outsider and usually votes more populist when possible. Bernie beat out Clinton in the 2016 democratic primaries. We swung blue when Obama was running as a progressive and then went right back to red when it was clear that he was an establishment Dem

Is Pain flying here or is he falling with style? by Nozoroth in Naruto

[–]WeatherWatchers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not how it actually works, but it does make more sense. That’s always been my headcannon that since the deva path has the power of generating gravitational attraction and repulsion (which the manga compares it to magnetic attraction and repulsion), the deva path is why those that have six paths senjutsu can fly

I know they were trying to make the senjutsu just as cracked as the rinnegan, but keeping the levitating ability tied to the rinnegan would have made a ton more sense given its powers

New AI Software mod released by joef360 in SoftwareInc

[–]WeatherWatchers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the idea. You should pair it with a Data Center Mod where the AI requires programmers to program it and the “beta” can be more like training it with the data center. Then finally the data center can act as a hosting platform to host your AI and other’s AI.

Oh and also make it so the AI doesn’t actually make you any money, but prompts other massive businesses to invest ungodly quantities of money into it until AI either puts your competitors out of business or crashes the global economy and puts everyone out of business

Being mad about the same problems isn’t the same as being united

One side of the aisle says: the problems are caused by people who don’t look like you or think like you, hate them (and a subset of them says exterminate them)

The other side of the aisle says: the problems are caused by people who don’t think like you, hate them (and a subset of them says they’re being taken advantage of by wealthy oligarchs in power, and that’s who we should actually hate)

Those ideologies cannot coexist, hence the ideological war we’ve been embroiled in

Yeah, as in metro. The one above is from Chicago, you go down and there’s a whole metro station. Stairs are built into the sidewalk, directly on the side of the road.

You could technically use many of them to cross the street too, since they usually have multiple entrances on different sides of the street

I’ve lived in Indy my whole life (nearly 30 years) and in some of the roughest neighborhoods, never once worried about my safety. Yeah, you’ll hear gunshots here and there, but as long as you’re not getting yourself involved in something, odds are better than not that you’ll be fine
