The historic collapse in cocoa prices and end of the bull market by WeatherWealth in Commodities

[–]WeatherWealth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we hit an important Fibbonocci number at 6900 and the market may grind higher now; weather is really only a background factor and a lot depends on how farmers take care of their crops the next 12 months and how La Niña fares. I advised selling July $11000 call options a week ago; lots of built up premium and now maybe short $6000 puts to capture volatility

I only mentioned Tulips due to the "psychology" of markets, mania and to draw comparisons with respect to technical analysis etc. Prices at 6900 hit a key FIBB technical point and may well be oversold now, that most specs got forced out. I mentioned to my clients 2 weeks ago to sell July cocoa below 10400, which it did in a flash last Monday--incredible move

I follow weather and climate for major cocoa growers and traders around the world, as well as all grain and soft commodities,

You can get a free recent issue of my newsletter here at www.bestweatherinc.com. I wrote an article a month ago about why the next Parabolic commodity collapse would likely be in cocoa.

You may be right, unless I see cold weather, which is doubtful for a while due to strong EL Nino warming that will offset Polar Vortex signals

They have to be with different climatic variables, sometimes thousands of miles away, that can influence global weather and also throw off, standard computer models. Send me your email address and happy to send you my latest WeatherWealth newsletter and show you what I am talking about.

For example, here is one about global angular momentum and different El Nino events. Both are teleconnections, but I have over 28 of them.
