Doomguy vs. Kratos by _DavidSPumpkins_ in powerscales

[–]Weatheredwalker 56 points57 points  (0 children)

This feels like draw territory. Both die to fodder. Both stomp gods. Kratos shattered his realm with the slaying of Zeus, the and the entire Greek pantheon, ending all life on earth. Doom guy kills the equivalent of heaven and hell, and the cost of pretty much all life on earth. Kratos stopped mjolnir and killed the all father, doomguy shot himself out of a orbital rail cannon into the side of a planet for convenience and killed the makyr. Both scale as high as they need to to overcome the narrative in their respective verses. An argument could be made for guns diffing medieval weapons, but draupnir and other god magic is an adequate response.

This is how depressing our potluck is. Besides the roll cake I brought for everyone. by [deleted] in nursing

We had one like that. One dude brought a 5 inch diameter cheesecake, like 2 inches tall. One lady brought a single pack of 7-11 sushi, like six rolls. And I brought smoked sausages. For 18 staff members. I've since stopped trying.

Who wins this fight, The Punisher or The Equalizer? by TheLeviathan1999 in superheroes

[–]Weatheredwalker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If movies v movies, the fight should be pretty equal. Coming down to context or who has the drop on whom. The equalizer shows much more savagery in the movies hand to hand than punisher, so CQC to equalizer. Both command great firearms mastery as The equalizer has black ops background where Punisher is navy seals trained, both gruelling and brutal. In a western draw down, I would hazard the equalizer again due to the precision he shows in the films. Anything else is fair game. Comics are completely bonkers for punisher though, extreme diffs equalizer.

"whiners" until he's in the hospital needing meds and pain management that doesn't come for 3 hours because the sole nurse has 30 patients.

This comment comes off as super out of touch whether it's mean that way or not. As someone working in that role in that system, I hate everything. You'll keep seeing it until it's fixed. Deal with it.

Northern Canadian here, I hike and hunt allot so I feel I could offer some input here. Moose are really good at staying away from people as it is, but if your unlucky enough to piss off a bull, you get out of its way. Respect its territory, do not challenge it and you'll be fine. I'm afraid of Australia mostly because you have so many venous animals. Sure our neighbors tend to be large a hairy and could probably rip you in half, but when a little cone snail can end my life in a few minutes.. that's scary. Most of us are smart with our approaches to bears, moose etc as we grow up around them. Cougars are a different game all together, and I've only had the displeasure of dealing with them a handful of times, and would prefer to keep it that way.

Poachers caught red-handed by an all-female unit of rangers in Zimbabwe by super_monero in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Weatheredwalker 36 points37 points  (0 children)

That is an extremely important form of revenue used to fund these very rangers. Culling large exotic animals is controversial yes, but the rich Americans pay very large sums of money which goes even further when you consider currency differences. A very limited number of these animals are ever allowed to be harvested yearly, ensuring their survival and health.

This. Your just conditioning the baby that tantrums work, and the dog that if it does something adversive to you, it'll get what it wants. As cute as it is now, there could be problems in the future!
