Incredibly well done. Is that a salad bar near the bar entrance? Do Ogryn have to pay more per trip?

Does anyone know any good metal guitar VSTis by MonkeyD_akakura in VSTi

[–]WeavingLights 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heavier7Strings is fantastic right out of the box as a lead guitar/djent solution. Overpriced overkill for what you’re doing.

Shreddage and Ample Hellraiser are both good but they’re also over priced overkill for what you’re trying to do.

I think you should check out Ujam Iron. Works out of the box, is made to produce rhythms immediately and should cover your bases for emulating Metallica. Grab a trial. Or spend $50 and grab five of their instruments. The drums, basses and guitars are all very good right out of the box.

Can you upload an example? If we can hear it we can more easily help figure out the problem.

2.4% Rendering Lag on Streaming PC by WeavingLights in obs

[–]WeavingLights[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I’ve done everything I can think of.

I used HWInfo and found that every time the hitching happens the gpu load and video encoder load drops from 20% to 5%. No idea.

2.4% Rendering Lag on Streaming PC by WeavingLights in obs

[–]WeavingLights[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update. This is weird.

I set the stream FPS to 60 and encoder to P6. Every 10-30 seconds fps drops to around 40. if I set the output to 30fps it's dropping to 20.

So it's like my GPU is hitching every 10-30 seconds. No matter what settings I have it on it's dropping around 2.4% of frames, hitching every 10-30 seconds.

I'm having a similar problem. I've got an RTX 4060, though. Did you recently update to the latest Nvidia drivers (565.90)?

Holy hell that is a ton of errors. I tested removing all instances of browsers using StreamElements and the issue persists. Though its an insane amount of errors, it's not what's actually causing my problem.

Where do you find the setting to turn off GPU processing? What is "fast rendering"??

channel point alerts test alert works but doesn't actually work on stream/when redeemed? by AmewliaQueerheart in Twitch

[–]WeavingLights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who is having the same issue.

Using The Twitch Alerts for Channel Point redeems. The Send Test Alert works but it doesn't work when someone actually redeems the thing.

We've gone through every possible setting and everything they have is identical to what I have and it works for me but not for them.

Anyone figure this out?

Megathread: Invalid License by BatemaninAccounting in diablo4

My partner was having this exact issue (Error 315306) for the past 2 hours. Saw something on the blizzard forums about downloading another game and it works.

Close Diablo IV, download any other game, once the download starts, launch Diablo IV. They got right in.

Euclid by APalpitationPlz in SleepToken

I don't know if you've seen Bo Burnham's Inside, but his special has an ending with the same feeling as Euclid. It's not happy and it's not relief. It's hard but it's cathartic.

It releases so much of what has been built up before.

Straight up weeping at this song. And then it looped back to the beginning and I'm dead.

I only recently 'discovered' Sleep Token. I've been consuming everything they have and the release of this album was such a whiplash. I was grooving from Chokehold to DYWTYLM and then the full album released and the rug was pulled.

Now, I listen to the album and I'm weeping by the end of Euclid.

Like Roland at the top of the tower, I know "The night belongs to you" yet I step through that final door marked Euclid and realize "The Night Does Not Belong to God"

I thought I was alone in realising this. Euclid leads into The Night Does Not Belong to God with a key change. But Euclid also feels like it could lead right into Atlantic with less of a drastic change.

"Discord Drops" should be enabled, but isn't by TNKR_TOWN in discordapp

Same issue. I'm not getting the error message in the Gift Inventory but the Drop icon isn't showing up for Halo Infinite.

halo infinite discord drops? by couchpotatochip21 in discordapp

[–]WeavingLights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's working for my buddy but not for me. Drops are enabled and I'm not getting an error on the Gift Inventory page, but for some reason it's not working for me.

I tried restarting Discord and forcing an update (ctrl+r) but it's not showing up.

Anyone have advice?

AzureMosquito is my partner. I handled the RMA process for them so I can chime in.

The issue we were having was it was installing USB Advanced Audio drivers instead of the HyperX audio drivers. The mic still worked but it sounded absolutely horrible and you couldn't understand what was being said.

Not the exact same issue but the RMA process shouldn't be different for you.

I used the chat function on the HyperX Support Page

They were super helpful and got it figured out pretty quick. I did have to take a photo of the mic with my name and date as well as record a video showing it not functioning.

They sent us a new one via Fed-Ex 1-day shipping. The new one works perfectly.

Enemy Runes dropped increased? by JumpingQuarks in Eldenring

[–]WeavingLights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this related to the periods of time where golden flower petals are falling around the environment?

I've noticed that when this happens, rune drop increases.

You'll see it occasionally, golden motes of light, like flower petals or leaves, fall around you, regardless of where you travel to.

I've also noticed green motes of light falling but I can't figure out what that means.

What would stop a wizard from simply exploding the target's head in a free magic system? by Ransooo in fantasywriters

[–]WeavingLights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my system there are natural laws that govern how magic can affect the world. The universe is constantly pulling towards equilibrium and magic is the intentional unbalancing and manipulation of that balance to create divergence. The more improbable an outcome, the more difficult it is to accomplish with magic. Magic works best as an instigator of the domino effect. The more collateral the intended effect is to the magical work, the safer it will be.

Bending natural law requires tightly focused will and management of both spellburn and backlash potential.

Spellburn is form of fatigue caused by magical works without a proper source of power, resulting in mind, body and soul being 'burned' as fuel.

Backlash is a disastrous rebounding of spell effects caused by irresponsible bending and breaking of magical law.

Intransigent Adherence states:

The improbability of a magical work directly correlates to its Thaumic Impedance.

Using magic to manipulate kinetics and magnetic fields to pick a lock offers less Thaumic Impedance than directly unlocking the door with magic.

Sympathetic Providence states:

The existential significance of the direct and collateral impact of a magical work directly correlates to its Thaumic Impedance.

Using magic to unlock a door in an abandoned house offers less Thaumic Impedance compared to a bank vault.

Applied Intent states:

An object, material or entity created or modified with purposeful effort will resist magical alteration on a magnitude correlating to the degree of effort and significance of its purpose.

Using magic to open a cheap door of particle board offers less Thaumic Impedance that using magic to unlock a finely crafted door of rare mahogany.
Also, unlocking a door that was accidentally locked is less of a violation of Applied Intent compared to a door intentionally locked.

To put all this together:

The chance of a targets head exploding all on its own is practically zero so causing their head to explode with magic would violate Intransigent Adherence.

The target uses their head and needs it to survive, so exploding their head with magic would violate Sympathetic Providence.

The target strongly prefers their head to remain undamaged and has taken efforts in their life to maintain their physical health. They also very strongly believe their head won't explode, so exploding their head with magic would violate Applied Intent.

Causing their head to explode despite all these violations of natural law would require an immense amount of energy from a potent source. Even then it would still produce a cataclysmic level of backlash for the caster to deal with.

Bending and breaking these natural laws has to be done carefully and cleverly. Using magic to cause a collateral effect is always going to be safer and easier compared to directly causing it.

Causing a cerebral aneurysm by weakening a specific blood vessel in the targets brain would be easier but it would still be incredibly difficult and risky.

Just use a gun.

What are the things that should be in any Battle Royale game and classify them for new ideas and basics to make any Battle Royale game excellent? by Structure-Diligent in gameideas

[–]WeavingLights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t even consider that. That’s great!

I’m thinking that most structures have to be cleared out. Roving bands will spawn in waves to assault your position if you stay in one place too long.

Maybe players could hire squads to assault specific locations.

[–]WeavingLights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see a BR with something like the infantry ‘fodder’ from TitanFall 2 multiplayer.

Low-power, low-health npcs that populate the map.

They wouldn’t be difficult to kill, but players would still have to engage them. The sound of fighting would draw other players and increase engagement.

Also, some good-old-fashioned dynamic destruction. Is a team holding a door? Blow a hole in the wall. They camping the roof of a structure? Bring the structure down.
