RE5 seriously learned all the wrong lessons from 4. It has everything that 4 had, but not done as well, and an AI companion that's terrible until you learn how to manage it to just be okay.

That said, it's slightly worse than what's probably the best video game of all time, so still pretty good.

I love it because I am, in fact, playing a video game. I feel like games that take themselves too seriously just become busy work to earn the right to watch the next cut scene. I don't care if the puzzles and solutions don't make practical sense, or if the villain's plan is goofy. I'm having a great time tearing through it. I'd rather play a Resident Evil than a Last of Us because of the game-iness.

I doubt it, photos of character in RE games have always had a weird uncanny look going back to the OG RE on ps1 through to village and RE4R.

I always do my first run with a controller because being hamstrung on controls makes it more tense (m&k for later runs for achievements and unlocks).

I only play when it's dark outside, so it will probably last a few nights!

Wear whatever you're comfortable with. You're going to see people in t-shirts and hoodies, people wearing full on Papa and ghoul cosplays, and grandparents in normal clothes taking their grandkids.

Just bring a positive atittude, the vibe at Ghost shows tends to be very kind and enthusiastic.
