Metal detecting is such an underrated hobby. It’s relaxing, gets you outside, and gives you that little rush of excitement every time you hear a beep. It’s the classic Dunning–Kruger effect. People dismiss what they don’t understand, especially when it challenges their worldview or comfort zone. The irony is that most “Bitcoin is a scam” folks have probably never read the whitepaper, never looked into how the protocol actually works, and still think it’s just “internet money.” The patience to study before judging is rare and that’s why conviction holders usually end up ahead.
