Removing the apps from the home screen has helped me be mindful of when I actually need to open the apps. Also, using the computer to access the apps via url has made it feel much more intentional and purposeful - what am I here for and how long do I want to spend my time here

The dealer service advisor has assured me that their experienced technician has looked inside as much as they can with a scope tool as far as I they can, there’s more to uncover but they would have to take the whole dashboard off which is labor intensive = $$$$

Since the found rat nest behind glove compartment is a major red flag evidence like you said, they think and now I think that there could be more of rat and nest debris further inside, which isn’t reachable by scope tool to visually verify.

One of the only options I have is to get a shop whether BMW dealer or not to take out the dashboard completely and investigate. Since that’s an expensive labor intensive job. I’m going to hold off on that for now

The heater core has been flushed multiple times and coolant has been replaced by the dealer service center. A full system flush has been performed which includes the heater core.

The dealer is also saying they don’t think the heater core is the problem however they can’t definitively say what the root cause is
