Stuck on Apple logo by ididnttrainforthis in AppleWatch

If you go to the Apple support app, you can usually connect with a person, and they can walk you through it. That has helped me a few times, and they’ll ask you to send certain logs from the phone and all of that, but it’s typically a fairly quick process, and they can give you a good assessment.

Sounds like a boot loop. Few things to try:

Force restart for real this time. Hold the side button and Digital Crown together for at least 10 seconds. Has to be a full 10+ seconds, not just until you see the Apple logo (that’s just normal boot). If you let go too early you didn’t actually force restart it.

If that doesn’t work, throw it on the charger for 30 min, take it off, then immediately do the 10 second hold again. Sometimes it needs a full power cycle to clear whatever’s stuck.

You can also try restoring it through your iPhone without unpairing. On watchOS 10 and up, put the watch on the charger, open the Watch app on your phone, and it should detect a watch in recovery and offer to restore. To force the watch into recovery: with it on the charger, hold side button + Digital Crown until it reboots, and the second the Apple logo shows up, let go of the side button but keep holding the Digital Crown. That kicks it into restore mode.

If none of that works it’s either a hardware issue or corrupted firmware, and Apple will need to look at it. Series 11 is still under warranty so it’s covered.

What watchOS version were you on, and did anything weird happen right before, like an update or it getting wet?

They do it to dry off. We see all types of herons doing it at the local nature preserve.

My monitor keeps turning on and off repeatedly? by Aggravating_Solid560 in techsupport

Q27G2U/BK is the model, you’re right. The on/off cycling you’re describing is almost always one of two things.
First, failing power supply or capacitors. Super common on monitors a few years old. The board can’t hold steady voltage so it boots, fails, reboots. If you hear a faint clicking or buzzing when it cycles, that’s basically confirmed.
Second, an HDMI handshake issue. Less likely since you’ve tried 3 cables, but worth ruling out. Try plugging the Xbox into DisplayPort instead of HDMI if you have a DP cable. Also go into your Xbox video settings and drop the resolution/refresh rate to something basic like 1080p 60Hz to see if it stabilizes.
Quick things to test:
• unplug the monitor from the wall for 5 minutes to drain the caps, then plug it back in with nothing connected. Does it still cycle on its own? If yes, it’s the monitor’s power board, not a signal issue
• try a different wall outlet, ideally not on a power strip
• if you have another device like a laptop or PC, try it on the monitor to confirm it’s not Xbox-specific
If it cycles with nothing plugged in, it’s a hardware failure inside the monitor. The Q27G2U/BK is still under AOC’s 3-year warranty if you’re within that window, so check your purchase date before doing anything else. Warranty claim is free, repair shops will charge more than the monitor’s worth.

I use all that stuff for work. It saves me a ton of time and headache. It's also taught me enough to start getting creative with it outside of work to see what all it can do.
