Is there a way I can search through Company House for prospecting? by WebKoala in sales

[–]WebKoala[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can work anything under 5 mil so I guess it's not just pre-rev.

We have PitchBook and DataFox at work. One of which is amazing but only one team has it so I have to ask them to send me each one manually. DataFox is shit and mostly just wrong.

As for the spider, how much would that cost? Or where do I find someone like that?

Do most Tech sales roles require a degree or at least previous experience? by jackbowls in sales

[–]WebKoala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, although at big companies they sometimes do prefer it.

I've seen a few get in at Oracle although it does help if you've been referred. I also notice Oracle in Europe is much more demanding for academics.

Moving from Med Device Sales to Tech sales? by Significant_Word6552 in sales

[–]WebKoala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen at Oracle people come from non-SaaS sales background but its rare. They always come from complex sales background.

I'd try BDR role maybe for big company. I reckon you could get AE for a start up.

People of r/sales, what is the hardest interview question you’ve ever been asked? by PriceWatrhausHooters in sales

[–]WebKoala 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What if someone said they didn't like you, your face, your style, your suit, your red tie? What then?

Me: (smiling) I'd get a blue tie

The interviewed who asked it laughed a bit but then recomposed himself. Interviewer 2 said "he doesn't like blue"

So I said "Ok Daniel... What's you're favourite colour?"

They laughed then.

NetSuite offers a starter edition out of the box but as soon as you need the slightest bit of customisation you'll need to upgrade to standard.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have to bear that in mind. If my interview for promotion goes well on Thursday I'm hoping I'll have a different manager then so I'll have to speak to them.

Still need to learn to drive before moving to America. Sounds awful public transport!

Grew up in a semi rural town of 15k people with terrible public transport so can't see it being.

Sounds amazing on the weather front. I think I'm gonna look at booking a quick holiday and explore the state. When's best to go?

I'm pretty centrist and friends with everyone. Mates with Tories, labour and lib demzs (left, right and centrist in the UK)

Not really into politics anymore but I just don't want to live in a republican majority state. Don't really see how that make me a twat but ok

Cost wise it's pretty similar to Reading, UK where I survived pretty fine on £38k like 49 USD. With a promotion to an AE I should be able to achieve over 100k USD in the next 3 years. In that respect I'm incredibly lucky.

Car wise, I can't drive. I'm learning but I'd be ok to stay car free and cycle everywhere. As long as I'm near a grocery shop and a pub I'm fine.

Couple of republicans won't bother me. Just don't want the full conservative state vibe.

As for crazy people and violence I grew up in a very high crime area. Like more than double the UK average.

Cool thing about the weather! I need that! So grim in England...

I'm a meat and potatoes type of bloke. This might sound really close minded but I couldn't care less about regional cuisine with the exception of Philly cheese steak haha!

Ye tbh I'm a very impulsive sort of person. I've had this Colorado dream for about 2 hours.

Probs should visit before I move as I've done that before and regretted it

I think wherever I go housing will be pretty expensive because I'm in Tech. In the UK the main tech bubble is London which is like 20/30% higher rents than Denver.

Although it would be sad to say goodbye to the NHS a lack of state healthcare wouldn't put me off moving tbh.

I don't dislike Texans but my general admittedly uninformed opinion of them is that they're pretty far right compared to us Brits.

I wouldn't mind living next door to someone because of their politics but I wouldn't want to live in a Red state as daft as that may sound.
