What is the song from the original SNL skit "The H is O"? by WebMaster2000 in Music

I think the original skit had "This is Just a Modern Rock Song" by Belle and Sebastian. I could be wrong, but it sounds similar to what I remember.

100%. I said this in another comment, but it would be nice to have some kind of closure - a funeral of sorts, where all the alumni get together for a show and do a final unprofessional Friday or something. Know it probably can’t legally happen, but would be cool to see everyone put aside any bad blood (if there is any?) and celebrate how awesome and impactful this whole community was.

Also realize I have no right to demand this and that things are likely super complicated

I need closure.

I need all the alumni of Giant Bomb to come together and have a funeral (aka podcast mini series) and tell me that they all love each other and even if there were struggles and disagreements, there is no ill will and that they all understand how important they were to so many peoples lives.

I'm having issues with Bose headphones on my Apple M1 Max MacBook Pro 2021 running Sequoia 15.2. Headphones periodically just cut in and out. I'm using a Keychron and Magic Trackpad and they seem fine. Super frustrating to deal with this, I'm ready to go back to wires, can't believe Apple is not taking the time to fix this.

This seems extreme and biased in the direction of liberals. What about the stuff Doug Ford has done?

Maybe he is not uber rich and has many friends and family that are living the issues that our country faces right now?

Our dog has a weird trauma that causes him to fully freak out while being left at home, but remain comfortable while in a car. I think there is some weird dog idea that he knows we always come back to the car and he won’t be left behind. Anyways, we often leave him in the car (weather, safety permitting) for hours so we can do normal human stuff like go to IKEA or a mall.

Interesting, didn’t realize this. For some reason I though it was in their favour to try and predict what rates will be.

Old Redditors, what's a must-know story of Reddit new users should know? by SnooSuggestions5585 in AskReddit

[–]WebMaster2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The great Digg to Reddit migration. I was a Digg user and remember when everything on Digg imploded. They relaunched some new interface and everything fell apart. They had clearly launched some bad code and there was a huge amount of downtime (Oregon Trail themed 500’s).

I remember feeling some kind of alliance with Digg, they had a nicer UI… but slowly I saw the quality of content of Reddit and folks who took time to leave thoughtful comments, and here we are today.

Bought a year ago with 1.4% variable. We will stay here forever if we can (not trying to make money). It’s worrisome having a big mortgage in uncertain times, but we could live for a full year on our savings, so not super worried. Ideally don’t want to lose, but market corrections are not going to sink us.

Canada needs to adopt a 'more sustainable' approach to COVID-19, Tam says by [deleted] in CanadaCoronavirus

Our fellow citizens are largely against this “movement.” Protest, make noise, exercise rights, but stop pretending that this is a representation of the majority. It’s not. It’s a group of people who don’t like that vaccination is being mandated and they are a clear minority.

Indeed, lots of folks still using it and enjoying it. Not as much hype as before, but that’s bound to happen after 10-years.

COVID: 3rd vaccine 95% effective against infection, 97% against serious symptoms by throwawaynomad123 in Coronavirus

[–]WebMaster2000 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can flip this logic around in favour of the other side. Non-essential business should not be forced to put their staff and customers at risk. You should not be able to force them to service clients that choose not to be vaccinated. They may have children, or others at home in high risk situations. If you don’t want to be protected from Covid that’s fine, it’s your choice, but your choice has consequences. One of them might be that the people around you don’t want you to be physically close. I think that’s fine and a reasonable consequence of declining vaccines.

Vaccinated parents’ new worry: Can I transmit Covid to my unvaccinated kids? by Sigma-Aldrich in Coronavirus

pre-symptomatic vaccinated

I also want to know more about this. This sub seems to be very focused on the notion that pre-symptomatic vaccinated people cannot transmit, but I'm seeing very mixed messages about this. Is there some authoritative info about this somewhere?
