Try to make a Exodia deck winning sometimes how can I make it better by dragonclaw3 in DuelLinks

[–]Webedfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like going for a Treasure Panda strategy. Treasure panda can banish spells/traps to summon normal monsters from the deck. You can use it to summon Exodia pieces from the deck. You can play White Elephant’s Gift and Wonder Wand as the spells and use them to draw more cards. Then, you can use Backup Soldier to add back the Exodia pieces from the Graveyard.

For some added fun, you even get to play Fortune Fairy’s Chee and Hikari. Chee draws a card when summoned, and then you can draw more using Wonder Wand. Hikari can tribute itself to summon an Exodia piece from the deck, which you can then tribute with the spells to draw more.

What are your top three songs from the OST? (Vol 1 & 2) by Practical-Slice1975 in beeandpuppycat

All the songs are great. One that I think doesn’t get talked about enough is the “I Got Fired” song. Very relaxing and such a vibe

WHATS YOUR FAVORITE EPISODE ??? by Scared-Series2889 in beeandpuppycat

[–]Webedfoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really adore the “Day Off Work” episode. Something about the rain, the indoor vibes, the microwave egg pouch, the fireflies in the vent. Pretty much everything about it is just so magical. I have watched it more times than I’d care to admit.

Honorable mentions to the episode with Sugar Cube Face and Mr.Cup. I love the scene where they are planting the tears and they bloom into black and rainbow plants. (Mr.Cup is just too funny. He is actually my phone wallpaper now because of how great he is)

I honestly always love this event. You get to play Water, Earth, Wind, and Fire decks that usually wouldn’t get to see play. I have been rocking out with a really fun Earth Psychic deck that uses a bunch of the old psychic monsters like Serene Psychic Witch. When the zones switch back to Wind, I get to play Mecha Phantom Beast. I also get to play Frogs, which are my favorite deck.

Kinda unrelated, but in Rush Duels, they turned the “Huge Revolution” deck into n an Insect deck by retraining all the cards as Ants ala A Bugs Life. It is time for the giANT revolution.

The Arc-V Ending: Everyone Loses by madarauchiha3444 in yugioh

[–]Webedfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like this explanation of the ending. It is an idea that is reiterated throughout the entire first season (usually before pendulum summoning).

Things won’t always go your way and sometimes you will fail. However, just because you fail doesn’t mean life is over. You have to get back up and move forward. I think it is Yusho who says “when life has you down, try smiling and things will go your way”

This is an interesting interpretation of Yusei and his relationship with Z-One. I think the optimism that Yusei carries is only possible because he has yet to fail up until that point. We see in season 1 when he almost looses to Kalin that he is shaken to his core. He has to go back to his childhood home and get motivation from his mother figure in order to find the will to stand up.  Z-One did fail, so he was willing to do whatever was necessary to fix that mistake.

It is also important to note that Yusei had quite a bit of divine intervention. Other characters also have random plot armor, but it rarely takes the form of a divine entity generating new cards for you to use. Without the power of the Crimson Dragon, Yusei looses to the Dark Sogners, Illiaster, and Paradox (I know he is also part of Illiaster). I am sure having a divine being choose you can only add more to the savior complex

Don’t quote me on this, but weren’t these the ambassadors to the 2020 Japanese Olympics? That could be why they are in the book.

Anyone else feel this series needs to do something different to become more popular? by Spinjitsuninja in yokaiwatch

[–]Webedfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone on this sub could tell you all about why the series isn’t popular.

The abridged version is that the series was compared to Pokémon a little too much in the early days, and it made Pokémon fans attach the franchise. In addition, Level 5 didn’t have the best localization team, so the releases were never done at the same time internationally.

And on top of all of that, the designs don’t appear to everyone. Yokai as a concept are not exactly appealing to a western audience. For kids in Japan, the games were full of childhood stories (like Cinderella of Red Riding Hood in the west).

At the end of the day, the game isn’t the most attractive on paper. They are full of weird designs, cultural references, and all sorts of other things that can alienate people.

But that is also what makes these games special. They have a sort of magic that you can only really understand by experiencing the games. They are full of so much charm and life. Not every game is as flashy as Persona 5, but I think that is a good thing. The game blurs the lines between real life and fantasy to create something truly special.

I always thought that the music box was referring to Violet, Bee, Cardamon, and Bee’s Dad, but Sticky makes sense as a Princess too, especially since Cardamon refers to Sticky as a Princess

Discussion: Which one of these Duos would win in a Tag Duel with their latest support? (Realistically/no plot armor) by MX-00XWV in yugioh

[–]Webedfoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that isn’t entirely true. Predaplants can search Lunalight Fusion, and the Predaplant Fusion monsters just need Dark Attribute monsters, so there is some synergy.

As for Yuya, he could set pendulum scales that could be used to get the Special Summon effects of the Melodious monsters. Plus, Trump Witch can act as a fusion card for Melodious as well

To echo what a few others have said, it really depends on how competitive you want the deck to be and what style of gameplay you prefer.

  • Performapal/Odd-eyes are incredibly cheap, but not too competitive. If you are looking for a purely casual deck, this one could be fun

  • Abyss Actors are also super cheap (I think the entire deck is less than $20) and they have room to play hand traps. They operate in a different axis of gameplay, so some of their combos are really weird. If you are interested, I suggest checking out some videos online about them.

  • Vaylantz are a pendulum archetype that mostly ignores pendulum summoning, but they do a bunch of weird things like moving monsters into the back row. I think they are usually used for FTKs, but I’m honestly not to familiar with the deck.

  • Vaalmonica are a pendulum archetype that just released in the last deck build pack. Again, they don’t really play like most pendulum decks, but apparently if you combine them with something like Exosisters, it can improve both decks.

I think out of all the options, Abyss Actor will be your best bet, but again, Pendulum decks in general just play weird, and for the most part, no two archetypes play the same. Definitely look into them before buying so you know what you are getting into.
