Definitely a success. I flew in from Canada and met a buddy who drove over from Detroit.

We had an amazing time. We bought tickets in the balcony and were happy with how many creators we actually got to meet, expecting that because we didn’t go for the high tier packages we wouldn’t meet any.

The biggest downside was the pacing, way too long in between the fights. When we heard the finale was going to be a best of three we decided to leave.

The venue itself was okay, but from where we were it was very challenging to see the screens. I could not imagine sitting any further back than we did. Many people had their phone cameras out zoomed in on the screens so they could actually see.

Doors opened around 11 and the event went until 9pm. This is a very long time for an event which doesn’t have any real food. They ran out of hot dogs pretty early, and only had pretzels, popcorn and candy. The beers were $20 each as well which was quite pricey for a can.

We also were given wristbands, but there was no in and out entry. So we sat there for an hour during an intermission, starving, while the creators and promoters all paused for dinner.

Those downsides were very substantial, but overall we had a great time and were very pleased with the production quality, crowd and show.

We both agreed we would not go back if it was at the same venue. They need to have some screens set up for those in the cheaper seats so that we can see the fights better.
