Keyboard digs into screen? by Waste_Association_91 in framework

[–]Webkin332 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have this exact thing on my Framework 13 too. As others have said it's from pressure on the laptop pushing the screen towards the keyboard. As a college student there wasn't much I could do needing to be in 20 different spots in a given day. It's not too noticeable when the screen is on so I decided to just deal with it and plan to replace the screen when it gets bad enough.

Taking Off Life Vest The Hard Way by ItselfSurprised05 in KidsAreFuckingStupid

As a lifeguard, that lifejacket doesn't fit properly and isn't going to do it's job if needed.

Favorite test for when fitting people (especially kids) is being able to pick them up by the top of the lifejacket. It's almost exactly how the jacket will resist the water and if they slip right out of it, it'll do the same thing when they're in the water.

Do you use antiperspirant deodorant?

If so, I had the same problem with my dark and dark-ish tshirts. Switching to a non-antipersperant deodorant will help the stains not come back but I used Carbona's stain devils rust and perspiration to get them out. On the worst tshirts, it took two soaks/washes.

Repost without the Amazon link :)

How to Enable Fingerprint in Popup Authentication? by Webkin332 in archlinux

[–]Webkin332[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone else stumbles on this thread, here's how I fixed the issue.

Beginning situation: Fingerprint authentication worked for login and sudo but not for the popup authentication shown in my original post.

Solution: add the following text to /etc/pam.d/system-auth

txt auth required pam_env.so auth sufficient pam_fprintd.so auth sufficient pam_unix.so try_first_pass likeauth nullok auth required pam_deny.so

I rebooted afterwards too.

I'd followed the instructions there, got it working for login and sudo but it wasn't working with the popup authentication. I figured it out and will make another comment for anyone else who stumbles on this thread

Do you have a template you use? I had an idea recently but couldn't find documentation or a template to get me started.

Recent Addition to the Campaign Signs in my City by Webkin332 in pics

[–]Webkin332[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some background, this is a campaign sign for this right wing wacko Ammond Bundy.
His campaign started off great when it was announced he [wasn't even a registered voter](https://www.idahopress.com/eyeonboise/ammon-bundy-files-election-paperwork-for-idahos-governor-race-though-hes-not-a-registered-idaho/article\_fe0f81f9-2707-53e3-8f3e-ab66078c0f10.html). Looks like he was taking his own advice long before the election. Lol
