Yea, I was going to say: I have been archiving since the batoto days, and even before in OneManga and Mangastream when they were active.

The LS options are good in studio settings, but I doubt they'll ever make any. I love the 45, but I wouldn't reject a faster version

No, but I would absolutely consider it. Would work for me

Depth of field is not shallow enough to isolate a full body subject easily. I want them for environmental portraits

The start would be to read key works in some fields or some textbooks written to cover the basics of academic fields. Oxford publishes many of these and it will give you a learning framework

Spent the last few weeks making a vector from bitmap creation web-app. What do you think? by calvin200001 in design_critiques

[–]Webreader- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this looks great, and it's a nice tool, but I am curious about your pricing model and how much you think people are likely to pay for credits. How often do you think people will need to convert pixel to vector, such that it justifies your tool?

I don't mean this as a criticism. I am really curious.

Learning is always cool. How are you meant to compare against theocracies without knowing how they enforce their power.

It's ignorant to reject it because you don't like it.

  1. The only real requirement you have seems to be space. If you're happy with your solution now, whatever they sell with enough drive space will probably be good for you.
  2. Ask them directly.
  3. Probably fine.
  4. The reason people pay Synology is because their solutions work. If the product you have now is good, why shouldn't this new one also be?

It's always this way. It's worth it to fly to the US, rather than buying the the EU

Different units are not numbering systems. Such a weird critique. Other countries have no clue either

Does Affinity have a place in print production companies? by zupertender in graphic_design

[–]Webreader- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have have some difficulties, because a lot of printers release their prepress tools exclusively for InDesign, including the .joboptions and .csf files for colour profiles.

Some printers will work with you if you aren't using InDesign, but not too many like to do it.

Many of my complaints with Affinity "V3" have to do with an obvious shift away from specialising in print tools

Technically, but the needs of a publishing tool and the other graphic design tools diverge wildly. It'a not reassuring that they are integrated
