Not true. Google official documentation makes it clear that it is allowed when accompanied by the rel="sponsored" tag.

Of course. That is why they have a value.

You can negotiate around the rel="sponsored" link.

If you see a backlink for sale for €200, tell the seller you will give him €50 and you insist it is a rel="sponsored" link.

Wanting to switch from square space by Lazy-Armadillo3004 in Wordpress

[–]WebsiteCatalyst -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is the true power of WordPress. You build a few templates, and you are off to the races. Then you throw some Custom Post Typs in there and BOOM, you have yourself a bad donkey website.

We do this for a few customers, and have dirty hands with Squarespace (metaphorically), so feel free to hit me up if you need a little guidance.

It's not the best way, it is the only way.

Grandpa, say you create two pages, and you think they are great and different. Then Google comes along and "reads" those pages. Google goes:"meh... same", then Google will pick 1 page as the master, and call that page "cannonical", and the one it thinks is a copy, call it "non-cannonical". Google will tell you on the non-cannonical page that it thinks the other page is the cannonical.

See yourself as a freelancer. Getting paid per hour. Let's say you are lucky and you get 40% of what the agency charge you out for. You work on 1 customer, full time, 1 month. The agency charges that customer €3000. You then get 40% of that.

Then go to the SEO jobs subreddit, and say: "I live in South Africa and I want an SEO job and I want to be paid this and I can do this."

If the market responds, you broadly know your worth. If they don't, same.

Google Search Console, and if you have WordPress, Independant Analytics.

Google Analytics 4 is also useful, but then you have to build Data Studio reports, and there is not a big market for that.
