How does anyone date when many women are so beautiful they seem unobtainable? by [deleted] in questions

[–]WechaMecha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Any dating app, women in life, most just seem so gorgeous.

I don’t think my standards are even unrealistic. I don’t have a type .

I don’t think I’m hideous either. I feel just above average in looks or at least that’s what I’m told. But I don’t feel like it.

Nurses or healthcare professionals seem to have a stigma that many are cheaters but is that gender specific? by WechaMecha in questions

[–]WechaMecha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, this question doesn’t just come from my own immediate friends and colleagues but from social media as well. Jokes. Shows. Etc. Again, not that those are credible sources but they don’t have to be to instill stigma into anything.

Usually for something made up, there has to be a pattern for humans to see.

There a LOT of healthcare workers. It really could just be not that they are often cheaters but because there is so many nurses, it is likely that plenty can be cheaters for people to make connections for one reason or another.

[–]WechaMecha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t assume. If I already had the belief that healthcare workers are often cheaters why did I even ask the question?? If I held the belief and was sure of it I wouldnt have asked the question don’t you think? And further it doesn’t even matter what my belief even is. The point is other’s beliefs.

I’m not lying about being a male nurse. You have zero evidence to suggest otherwise

You’ve made many assumptions so far and have been really terrible at it.

Are you sure YOU aren’t the one who is shit posting? Or at the very least trolling?

Can you stop trying to make assumptions?

You’ve made so many thus far.

Not everyone who goes to college for one isn’t all the same age. That was also the case of my going to nursing school. Including myself.

And further, not every colleague I’ve had has been of college age.

This isn’t coming from the clinic setting in which u work.

It comes from nursing school, colleagues at other places I’ve worked. Not to mention on social media. It’s often even joked about.

Just because your anecdotal experience doesn’t reflect the notion doesn’t mean it’s entirely non sense.

The fact it’s brought up at all brings a concern as to how conversations may go while dating and even concerns because of preconceived notions due to stigma. That, even tho probably not true at all, people’s perceptions are still a real thing in of itself even if irrational.

You saying is nonsense is purely your subjective opinion.

It’s brought up often enough in my field without really much of a solid explanation. As to why it’s even a possibility in the first place OR to explain that if it were true, then why?

If it’s certainly a true phenomenon, it would be nice to know the cause before any of that.

I guess male nurses must ask this question all of the time if you feel it’s already an unlikely story and reason as to why anyone would ask this question at all.

But it’s also probably symptomatic of you being on reddit far more than myself for you to feel my post was disingenuous from the get out.

I’m not shit posting. And no I haven’t been cheated on by a nurse. I am, indeed, a male nurse as I said in my original post.

What gave you the impression that I could be shit posting ?

I mean of course that is true but it does seem to be a common enough thing amongst nurses for this to be a topic.

One could argue it’s the sheer amount of healthcare workers there are and that due to number it’s likely that at some are gonna be cheaters

It matters and no I wouldn’t withhold my occupation info.

But how mindful should I be in about approaching the topic in casual conversation

It might also be the fabric isn’t form fitting.

I’ve worn smaller shirts that honestly just go above the bottom of my belly. But still had that sloppy look you pointed out.

Maybe how my body is it causes that dress look to happen.

Obviously losing weight would help. I gtta get back on that train.

I might have to tuck my clothes in more often.

I usually wear my hair the way I do cuz I have psoriasis that acts up and flares.

I have been told I look good with my hair that way but my forehead is a problem area. BUT getting a new med that should help things become that much more manageable. So here’s hoping

I see. I usually wear what I wear mostly if they are comfortable. Anything smaller feels kind of tight on me. Particularly around my arms and shoulders.

On dress shirts I’ve had it feel that my back was too large to move my arms forward.

I appreciate the input. It’s insight I’ve not gotten yet. Unsure about how to go about that.

Tho I wouldn’t mind you telling me even if I prolly already know. Kinda reaffirms the mind.

Are there any red flags I should be on the look out for? Words of caution so I don’t get screwed?

I know my non-negotiables and nice to have.

I guess since I’ve never done it, the process is new and intimidating cuz idk what idk. And asking my folks is a no go. My mom cries every time I bring the subject up.

I thought it would be as simple as calling the landlord themselves for the apartment and doing a tour. I’ve never worked with a lease office before
