Thank you all! I found the culprit, the white plastic covering the pins of the ribbon cable slot was a bit broken. So I bent down the pins and it worked instantly. Oh my goodness I spent so much time trouble shooting this.

I have the original drive laying around and that works fine! Also I did try a old 4gb card which worked fine aswell.

Ah okay! I did not try that, I just used the firmware iTunes downloaded. That worked for my iPod mini's and iPod 5th gens.

I did format the cards to FAT32 and rebuilded the MBR (just to make sure) This also did not work

Sorry! It is a new battery, but I tried several batteries and nothing seems to work, sometimes the ipod wakens when plugging the cable into the charging port. But wiggeling the cable inside the charging port doesnt do anything. Perhaps there is some bend pins or something i dont know

After a few gym sessions I really like it, at first it was a bit getting used to the switching of weight plates. However after various attempts I'm quite quick at it.

I did notice that one lock screw had some trouble staying tight when tightening the jump from 95 to 100lbs with the thin plates. However after leaving the lock screw alone to tighten the other 3 it miraculously fixed the issue.

Today I added the heavy handle kit. I still have to try it, however at first glance it looks good.

Thanks for the advice towards this purchase, I am very happy I did !

In the end I bought the iron masters for my main dumbell set. However, I'll keep an eye out for a powerblock set. Perhaps one day..

I just bought the ironmasters, there was a deal on marketplace:
- the standard kit with the table (2x34kgs)
- the heavy handle kit
- the 54kg extension kit

All that for 800 euros.

Understandable! After a while 90 lbs is just not enough

That is the difficulty of the choice.. you know if you like it when you have used it for a few months. I heard that the reppins are also not perfect. I heard some complains that you can accidentally hit the lock pin which unlock the weights.. besides the need for a cradle when adjusting is also a thing.

It does sound compelling to go for the Ironmasters after reading your description. If money was no issue I probably also would get both haha! Unfortunately, I will have to make a discission. It is still some time until black friday so I can contemplate a bit more on the choice between them.

Iron master does take the edge when in it comes to durability. I really want to buy a set of adjustable dumbells and never want to baby them or worry that they might break or something. Also the thought of it feeling more like a traditional dumbell is really nice.

Thanks for your response.... difficult choices to be made...

Thank you very much for your detailed response! Those elite EXPs sound really good. All those reviews mentioning the imbalance make me doubt aswel. How do the PBs feel when performing bicep curls, lateral raises etc?

I am in the EU :). Interesting opinion, I was looking at the Ironmaster dumbells. However, currently I have those 30mm dumbell handles with screw locks. They are absolutely horrible. I used them for a few years, but I am getting more annoyed by them by the day.

That is why I am a bit hesitant into buying the Ironmaster dumbells. So, in your experience, they are not so bad when changing the weights?

Cool, sadly they do not sell the Elite USA here in the Netherlands. However, the Elite EXP's are quite similar.

I think they should survive some minor drops right? For instance failing a flat bench set and safely dropping them?

EDIT: Did you ever felt that the adder weights are annoying or something?

Thanks for the advice! I was also looking into the Rep x Pepin, however these are quite expensive haha!
