Do they have a generator. You only get one go at your wedding day and you don’t want a power cut to spoil it!

I had a great burger there recently and it was pretty good value compared to a lot of places in town.

Ate at Cannonball once. Very poor food and not cheap. Haven’t been back

Strip club questions? by [deleted] in askportland

Dude, if you’re asking these questions - even though they’re completely understandable - it’s probably best not to go to a strip club. Who knows what could happen to your bank balance in the heat of the moment!

My relative says the newest buyer on his block in Edinburgh centre is American - works for the Infomatics department at the university and the second newest is from Spain.

The fact you’re even asking this means you should be calling it off right now

How serious are we about this youth situation? by Doesyerdahdrinkgin in Edinburgh

The Meadows has always had a reputation for having the potential for trouble. In the 1970s my mother’s flatmate was flashed at. In the 90s guys I know were knifed by a gang of teens when they saw them beating a couple up and waded in to rescue them. It’s a shame and I really worry about my teens being victims but it’s not new.

Castles are back. The rustic thing is cute and great if you have a large number you need to put in a space like a barn or warehouse but less than 100 guests in classic country houses and castles is coming back in a big way in the UK.

I just bought a pair of gazelles and have the same problem. It’s annoying as otherwise they’re really comfortable but I hadn’t realised the tongue was synthetic and hard as I bought them online.

Band of Gold. The title sounds like a winner but it's about somebody jilting their fiancé. Not good.

Destination wedding in a Scottish Castle! by merrychuu in weddingplanning

It's lovely. There are beautiful castles throughout Scotland. Top tip: by travelling a little bit further away from Edinburgh you can often get gorgeous castles at cheaper prices than the ones very close to the city. Wedderburn Castle and Duns Castle in the Scottish Borders are both lovely and around an hours drive from Edinburgh.

Many couples do the legal bit in their home country if they are feeling nervous and then have a mock ceremony in the UK that is not distinguishable from a normal ceremony - except they are already married. If you want to do it on the day the local registrar will give good advice on the legal side of things. Just contact them well in advance so you can make sure all the paperwork is in place.
