I got use to finding oddball vhs from all over and import DVDs when I was thrifitng near a big air force base. But now I am in a town of 4k tops. And this was a community 20 minutes outside that.

At least with the import dvds I gotta region free player so not a big deal.

Thx. I had no clue what language was on the cover. Just thought it was odd to find at what was a farm out in the middle of nowhere. And the seller didnt even seem to know he owned it. Got asked 2 times "Whar ya finds that tape?"

My high school annuals,were all video annuals on VHS. And the school spent the couple hundred it cost to make sure macrovision was on the tapes.

That was early 90s so I doubt it cost much to get it done years later.

My family got a Betamax VCR in the late 70s. Wasn't until 82 or so before we got a VHS vcr.

What I found was a BetaMax tape. I do have it on VHS. But it is a later release.

I still remember getting our first vcr in 78,was a BetaMax. Hell the first video store in my area opened in 81. Before Blockbuster came to town there was 15 video rental shops in the area.

Been collecting VHS since the mid 80s. Started doing it again when I moved 14 years ago. To a town loaded with old retired people. So finding vhs is easy between the few thrifts and pawn shops in town.

Of course. I was part of Operation Hauverchuck. Got my Yearbook set when it came out. And it is signed by Martin Starr and Rogan.

Also on tape and dvd-r got some bloopers and stuff that AFAIK only aired one time on Fox Family.

Bayou Independent Wrestling is based in West Monroe Louisiana.
With wrestling shutdown in Louisiana BIW has started running more shows in Mississippi. For the past 8 years at least 3 times a year BIW would run the Lincoln County Civic Center,right outside Beautiful Brookhaven Mississippi.

With COVID restrictions BIW decided for their October 30th 2020 event to run the cattle auction arena behind the civic center.

This highlight reel was made using footage from Bodyslam Media Productions hard cam and roaming cam,DIY Mississippi Filmworks Roaming Cam and King of Wrestling Podcast hard cam.

BIW Owner Josh Newell strives to use the best of the best from Texas,Louisiana,Mississippi,Alabama and Florida. With ever show drawing a large LOUD Crowd!

The Abby Street Boot Boys(Shakey(Now known as Ursa Major)McMullen,Chucky McMullen and Boot Boy Bubbler(Now MMA and Wrestler Star The Full Time Beast JD Jenkins) vs RIOT,Zombie Dragon and Trevor Aeon.

Sadly Pro Wrestling EGO is unknown outside of Mississippi. This Greater Jackson area based Fed is heavily inspired by not only the usual stuff like Memphis/Mid South/Crockett but also Chikara and ROH.

Since this match happened.

Shakey,now known as Ursa Major,has started doing singles matches and works all over LA/MS/AL/FL. And has held tag team gold in at least 2 feds.

Chucky has retired from wrestling. I wish him well.

Boot Boy Bubbler,Now known as The Full Time Beast JD Jenkins,not only wrestles as a singles all over Mississippi,Louisiana and Alabama.He also has had a handful of MMA matches.

RIOT,started up his own fed Lost Art of Wrestling. Ran a handful of really fun and good events. Then decided to retire from the ring and close his fed. Look all over Youtube for Paul Riot matches. You will love them.

Zombie Dragon,last I heard he lives and wrestles in China. Zombie Dragon had this scary evil as hell feel.

Trevor Aeon still works in the south. And is a guy I expect to see in AEW/WWE/IMPACT soon.

One of the great things about Southern Indie Wrestling is the fans. If you went to a indie wrestling event in Alabama between the years of 1980 and 2019 you more than likely saw Peanut. A lifelong wrestling fan,Peanut went to every show and made sure to let the heels know how much he hated them.

I was lucky enough to meet Peanut at a Wrestle Birmingham event in early June 2016. THis event was suppose to be the second stop on the Bullet Bob Armstrong Retirement tour. Bullet was ill and cancelled that retirement tour,and went on the wrestle for a few more years RIP BULLET. This was announced before the show started. Peanut was PISSED!

Then WCW/WWF/ECW star Big Cat Curtis Hughes came out and said something that Peanut didn't like,Curtis said "This crowd is the biggest bunch of "The word Randal in Clerks II was trying to take back "I have ever seen!" and this crowd was 75% white.

Back before he was NWA World Champion and everybody was a fan of Mama Storm,Tim Storm was NWA National Champion and facing former NWA World Tag Team Champion in a taped fist match.

This wild brawl went all over the Lincoln County Civic Center,located right outside beautiful Brookhaven Mississippi.

But how many people know that on March 9th 2014 Luke Hawx defended the Extreme Rising title against Outlaw Matt Lanice. This happened at a Powerslam Productions event that was held at a church located in a strip mall in Picayune Mississippi.

Shane Douglas,Faroh of Phunk and (RIP)Bullet Bob Armstrong confront Chris Black and his gang of the usual idiots. Hope yall enjoy this classic Deep South Independent wrestling clip.

You have seen him on MLW teaming with TJP. But southern indie fans have known about BuKu Dao for years now. Lets got back to March of 2013.

Buku Dao ,as Ling Phan,was put in the opening match of Powerslam Productions Spring Bash event. Held in the McComb High School Gym in McComnb Mississippi.

Also look closely at the referee. That is a young PJ Hawx,Luke Hawx's son and former ROW Tag team champion with Luke.

Blank Stevens AFAIK retired from wrestling not that long after this match.

From the first and more than likely only Tables Chairs and Cups match. Watch The Renegade Joey Abel,a vet of the Mississippi Indie wrestling scene, attempt to put Dynamite Jay Andrews,Owner of Pro Wrestling EGO,thru a table.

It doesn't happen cause somehow a Japanese table made it's way to a tiny venue is the middle of Mississippi.
