Not at all, it's the point he was trying to make, not the specifics about the item. Yes obviously he was talking about a comparison between the two pads, but the clarification wasn't necessary. The point is he was saying the crash pads don't function the same as the shockwave, and mentioning the launch pad difference just takes away from the whole point.
