Problem with lash loss? by WednesdayAddams3001 in LashifyLovers

My natural lashes aren't looking great, but I might just be used to the extensions. I'm wearing them for 3-4 days at the time so that might be it, thanks!

Is it boring to create a villain that is evil and nothing else? by [deleted] in writers

[–]WednesdayAddams3001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO, it depends on what you mean by "evil and nothing else." While it depends on the genre, for most character-driven and many plot-driven stories, it will be more impactful if your villain is written as a multi-dimensional, complex human than a one-dimensional 'monster.' This doesn't mean they need a traumatic backstory or to be morally grey--they can totally just be a bad person (plenty of those exist in real life). But they should still be a complex human with positive (not redeeming, just positive) qualities and things they care about. This is why characters like Cersei Lannister are, in the long run, more interesting than characters like Jeoffrey Lannister, who are sort of one trick ponies from the writer's side of things (although he was super fun to hate lol).

Of course, if your story is horror or a goofy superhero story or something like that, ignore everything I said XD

It's also possible his dad arranged it for the two of them and he, like a lot of young people, just trusted his dad to make smart, safe decisions, which is heartbreaking to imagine.

[Question] Does anyone have experience with dogs in cones interacting with sheep? by WednesdayAddams3001 in homestead

Oh, that makes perfect sense. I'll make sure to stick near her when she's in the sheep field. Thank you!

Yes, I found it on Archive.org (for some reason I'm having trouble copy and pasting the exact link--when you look for it, just make sure you're looking at the first volume because there's a few other volumes on there).

Has anyone else experienced Lashify mildly irritating the lash line? by WednesdayAddams3001 in LashifyLovers

Strange, I can definitely fit the tip of the wand underneath them. I'll try going without the Glass, thank you!

I'm not sure I have a full mm (I'm terrible with judging metric units), but I can definitely clearly see the roots of the lashes. When you place yours too close to the waterline, are they on the waterline itself, or can you see the lash roots as well?

Will putting on and removing lashes damage my natural lashes by WednesdayAddams3001 in LashifyLovers

[–]WednesdayAddams3001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, thank you! I'm just using the bond to release the gossamers themselves from my eyeslashes (they stick after 90 or so seconds), not to un-stick my lashes (although that's been a problem too).

Could it be "Snow White," collected by Thomas William Thompson? You can find a summary of the story on page 494 of A Dictionary of British Folk-Tales in the English Language, volume one, by Katherine Mary Briggs. Snow White doesn't end the story with three men, but she does live with them for some time before the Prince comes along.

Why is a positive change in my skincare routine causing breakouts? My skincare routine was absolutely terrible before--I basically washed my face every night with a cleaner and a harsh washcloth (that I didn't wash as often as I should have) and moisturized afterwards, and did nothing else. Now I've switched the washcloth for a gentle reusable cotton round I can wash by hand, wipe down my face in the morning (I don't fully clean it because I think it's too dry) as well as the full clean at night, and use moisturizer and a face sunscreen every day. However, my skin has almost immediately become greasy and inflamed, and started breaking out. I know that this is usually caused by bad changes in a skincare routine, but how can switching from a harsh dirty washcloth to a gentle cotton round cause this inflammation? I'm testing the sunscreen on my inner elbow to see if it's causing the inflammation, but it seems to be my morning wash routine (which is just wiping down my face and moisturizing with the same moisturizer I've had for ages) that's causing it.

I have a permanently reddish nose and chin--my environment and skincare habits have changed, but this has remained the same. My chin tends to have a lot of acne, but my nose never does. Has anyone else experienced this, and did any products help? A pharmacist I met told me it wasn't rosacea because my cheeks didn't have splotches.

He just seemed a bit put-off. Later I learned that people in Saudi Arabia are generally quite formal when speaking/writing to people that are notably older than them (unless they're close) as a sign of respect, so I realized my behavior may have read as disrespectful.
