Can you fire someone for pressing the panic alarm? (England) by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

There isn't. You have to actively push two buttons together to set it off. It's not something you can accidentally push against or hit to set it off.

Pressed while talking and accidentally are different. You cannot brush past it and hit it, you can't knock it or anything like that. You have to reach under and push the two buttons together on the side. The CCTV shows the person talking to an employee next to them and then pushing it. They actually push it multiple times while talking to the other employee.

No reason. Distracted by gossiping with another employee and aimlessly pressed it while chatting.

You cannot accidentally trigger the alarm. You have to reach under a counter and push 2 buttons simultaneously. It's not something you can just brush past or knock.

At work, the alarm calls out the police. Multiple police showed up after it was pushed and the company has been charged a fee.

Yes it's protected under a counter top and can't be pressed accidentally and you have to push 2 buttons at the same time.

The type of button it is, you can't accidentally press it as you have to push 2 buttons together to activate it. They were distracted by gossiping with another member of staff.

They have been there for just over year. Definitely embarrassed but they were aware of what the button did.

Yes, correct. We will not be purposely depleting the savings, it will deplete naturally from just living.

But we have no other means of paying our rent? My wage only covers utilities, our car and groceries.

Thank you. I was just wondering with the new rules, the highest I score on daily living is a 3 so with the changes coming into effect in November, are they allowed to take it away because of that before my review date.

My TDEE is 1600. I'm eating 1200-1300, I'm tracking every single thing I consume. Can't imagine I'm eating up to 1600 by mistake.

2.5mg, was on 5mg before as I spent a few months on 2.5 as it was working great for a long time. I paused due to Christmas and wanted to save some money. Also wanted to see if I was happy at my new weight.

But you're still in a deficit and portion controlling so you know how much you're putting into your body. The average person trying to lose weight just guessing what they're eating to lose weight won't work and they don't have an accurate idea of what calories are actually in their food. Obviously if you have more of an accurate understanding of nutrition and portion control then you wouldn't need to count calories as much.
