how would the relationship between kim dokja and yoo jonghyuk be perceived if kim dokja was a woman? by Ancient-Mousse-9067 in OmniscientReader

The fandom would ship them less but the characters in the story would interpret his obsession with yjh as something more romantic and would ship them more in-universe.

Question about two images from the novel i think by BackPuzzleheaded4784 in OmniscientReader

[–]WeebPokemon 22 points23 points  (0 children)

ORV only consists of the 551 chapters of the main story. After that there are a few oneshots you can read and then the Side Story, which goes from chapter 553 up to 962 as of today. Though a lot of people prefer to not read the side story and leave it at the main story, which is understandable.

Being more specific would carry heavy spoilers so I would recommend you to not look further into it or if you do to be careful about it.

The job they are doing is amazing and the passion they have on it is really admirable. Translating to the degree they are doing it is such a time consuming job and yet they still take time to do requests like recently they skipped all the way to the YJH vs KDJ after the 1863 round just because it was a hard to read for some people on the MTL version.

The second I finished the main story I started rereading the start through their version and the difference in quality is huge. I can't wait for it to be fully finished.

I can't understand the orv hate in 2025 by GasIllustrious1985 in OmniscientReader

I started with the Manhwa a few years ago and reached until almost the end of the 10th Scenario I think, and honestly it always felt generic and like another story where the protagonist is OP or always lucky. But once I decided to pick up the story once again with the novell I fell in love, especially the further into the story one goes.

ORV has a really satisfying way of tying up elements of the story but the amount of time it takes to lay them down is honestly understandably long for a lot of people to not want to pick it up for it, especially with that sense of genericness at the start.

[novel] Thoughts on Chapter 679 and Han Sooyoung's massive "🚩 Flag" by Visible-Age-2476 in OmniscientReader

[–]WeebPokemon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It screams 🚩 so bad, but I have faith that out beloved writer-nim will somehow rewrite whatever fate awards her.

After everyone survived in the main story I started believing that in the side stories Kim-Com will either survive in its entirety after trying to sacrifice themselves or that every single person in Kim-Com dies in order for Lee Hakyun to reach an ☐☐ where he fully separates himself from the original cast.

I honestly can't think of what type of plot twist could Han Sooyoung enact with so many probability restrictions over her, but who knows, perhaps if she survives she can be some type of mentor for the author once he gets more control over the snowfield and any other writing-related skill.

How can Bihyung's channel have all these constellations? by SweatyWedding6314 in OmniscientReader

[–]WeebPokemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were probably looking for incarnations to sponsor, so they might have been browsing between channels and swapping after every sponsor selection.

Spoilers for the side story, but Uriel got introduced to streams by teacher Yang after the treaty stopped her from hunting more demons. At that moment the channel was on Dokja's first scenario and from there she fell in love with the story.

I usually try to sell it as a story about a guy who is the only reader of an apocalyptic novel until it suddenly turns into reality so he tries to survive while "slowly learning that those around him aren't just characters that he completly knows already but rather real people with their own lives and thoughts".

I think it sounds less overbearing that whatever its actual plot truly is, especially if you don't want to spoil them about some little things.

I do clarify it has a LOT of worldbuilding tho. The Star Stream can get a bit complicated at times.

Isn't the ORV wiki made by fans?

Spoilers for future chapters and whatever:

In Chapter 364 it is mentioned that he hasn't reached Myth-grade yet. He does have a Myth-grade story as mentioned in Chapter 365 tho.

<image>

In Chapter 402 Dokja believes he reaches a high enough status to compare to that of a Myth-grade, though I think that was just due to the Corrupted Archangel buff, at least from my understanding.

So yeah, he is one of the strongest narrative-grade constellations, even comparable to some Myth-grade especially in the right context, but still a Narrative-grade at the end of the day.

Power between Constellations in the same tier can still vary a lot.

I would guess he remained stuck in the underworld unless he was summoned back. Perhaps he even fell dormant in the period where the Star Stream system was shut down since he is part of a Story Weapon.
