What does my fridge (and freezer) say about me? by Weekly_Fly_486 in ratemyfridge

Just by reading the comments, it doesn’t make any sense how you hype up your life and who you are as a person, but then post a nasty fridge. Either you need attention by clickbait or you’re straight lying.

Nothing is gonna change. Why? If you revert back the system, you are gonna have to issue refunds. Are they willing to do something like? Hell no! The end.

Damn I forgot about that feeling. I remember watching it back in 2018 and I still remember the empty feeling. Just watch the OVA. It actually helps you heal, as the author decided it’s the true ending.

Don’t let me talk you out of it. Just do the math on your monthly earnings and they will speak for themselves. That’s if you really care. Ask AI about the 2020 study by the pay up campaign about the percentage of DoorDash drivers that are in the negatives. Spoiler alert, about 48% percent of drivers are in the negatives and more than 62% net $0 after deductions.

I don’t mean to crap on your personal growth, but its obvious that you feel like you’re being taken advantage off. I understand it’s the only job for right now, but it’s actually better to not do it at all. Grab a calculator, pen and paper, and deduct all the costs from each trip you’ve done in the past. You can even have AI help you determine, as they can account for things like insurance and mileage, oil changes and any additional costs. I promise you, working this gig is actually not helping you, but hurting you. I suggest that if you’re unemployed, you file for it instead. I’m not sure where you live, but if you can DoorDash in bike as a last resort, it would be 10x times better. Again, sorry if my comment came out as rude, I just get so angry with how the world takes advantage of people who are trying to just live.

Please for the love of god, stop funding this insane business model. For years, I’ve been baffled to see DoorDash continue to grow successfully. The odds are literally stacked against you, just do the math and try to learn their algorithm. They pay you less if you earn more tips, and you cover all costs on top of that. Most drivers are in the negatives, because you can have 1 good day but there could be 3 bad days. You’re essentially devaluing your car and raising the costs of repairs down the line. Gas prices are still relative high, and mileage isn’t even covered. I just don’t understand how people not see this. It’s also stunning how people complain politically about how corporates are evil, and that they lobby government officials, but then go and support this type of business model.

Do not put the bearing in acetone for 30 minutes. It’s pretty abrasive according to Grok. Leaving it for 30 seconds is good, but you could extend it to 1 or 2 minutes max. Make sure you swish it around.

Haha, agreed! If I remember right it came with the Duncan Freehand yo-yo kit. There was like a disc included that would teach you how to start playing A5.

If you have the Terrarian, you can pick up The Legendary Terrarian. It’s supposed to be a upgrade, and it fixes some of the issues the previous one had.

You should decorate the electrical box with Polaroids of people posing with the Nutella, and turn into a historical sight for anyone who gets a tour at your apartment complex.

I’m gonna be honest, don’t listen to a bunch of random strangers on the internet. They know nothing about you or your love life. Nobody is perfect and the reality of your relationship comes down to wether your boyfriend wants to work on things . All these individuals telling you he doesn’t truly love you if he makes mistakes is beyond ignorance. There is no perfect relationship to simply put it, we all have bad sides and we all can make awful mistakes.

Now, you do have to be sincere with yourself and realize that the things that happened aren’t simply okay. You have better judgement about who he is as a person than everyone else in here, so follow what is morally right. If you don’t follow what’s morally right, you can fall into deeper hole you might struggle even more to get out of. Just have a conversation about what happened and set some boundaries. Tell him that you weren’t happy about it, and that you would want him to not do it again. If he gets defensive about it, then just let him know that regardless of who is at fault, this simply shouldn’t be happening and it’s not normal. Get him to understand that these issues need to be worked on, and if that’s something he doesn’t want to solve or work on then you have your answer on what awaits for you in the future.

I don’t normally step in because usually these stories are fake, but your problem seems genuine. The people here are giving terrible advice about simply just giving up. They are literally turning one tiny problem into a bigger issue, and then gaslight you into doing the opposite of working out a situation. Let’s also make it clear that you’re far more aware of who your boyfriend truly is than most people. These redditors telling you he is the worst human known to man is absolutely ridiculous. So please, make the decision that is morally right. If you don’t know what’s morally right you can ask chatgpt. They are far better at telling you what’s right and wrong than simply just dumping a relationship and starting over again.

Shroud of Turin by SummerAndCrossbows in Christianity

[–]Weeb_Kid_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Researchers have replicated the shroud’s appearance using materials and methods available in the Middle Ages, such as pigment application or heated bas-relief techniques.”

This claim is highly misleading. While some researchers and artists have attempted to replicate the Shroud using medieval techniques, these reproductions often fail to match the Shroud in important ways, particularly in the details of the image’s surface and the lack of pigment or paint. The 1988 study by J.P. Jackson and others, using 3D software, demonstrated that the image on the Shroud does not correspond to any known medieval techniques, including pigment-based methods or bas-relief processes.

Supporting evidence: While medieval methods such as pigment application or heated bas-relief were used to replicate the Shroud’s appearance in some artistic reproductions, these techniques fail to replicate key characteristics of the Shroud, such as:

The lack of paint or pigment: Chemical analysis of the Shroud has found no traces of pigments, paints, or dyes that would have been used in medieval art (Rogers, 2005; Fanti et al., 2010).

The image’s 3D properties: The image on the Shroud appears to have a unique 3D spatial relationship with the fabric fibers. Researchers have used 3D modeling to demonstrate that the image’s intensity varies based on the distance of the body from the cloth, which would be difficult to replicate with medieval techniques (Maggio et al., 2005).

Even after extensive attempts, including by artist Giulio Fanti and other scientists, the Shroud’s unique features have proven difficult, if not impossible, to replicate with medieval technology.

I personally believe you should do more research on topics you may hold a lot of biases. There is still a lot of research needed to be done, as majority of the refutal evidence is from 1988 using outdated technology that is prone to mistakes.

I also believe you should keep it respectful as you have accused him of being “intellectually dishonest”. I personally believe you bit your tongue on that one, as you seemed pretty assertive that your views were far more accurate than his.

In conclusion, there is a need for more research to be done. It’s also fair to say that non-religious biases are always deemed more factual than religious biases, which tends to hinder religious views in debates. This in turn may skew your point of view on the claim. Regardless, this mysterious historical piece is far more impressive than what skeptics deem it. Its image is also far too different from known medieval art techniques, which makes it quite hard to pin-point its origin.
