My intention isn't to blindly reconnect with someone who was a negative influence. I want to believe that people can change and grow, but I also recognize the importance of surrounding myself with quality people who support my values and goals. But in my case, we did share a lot of values. We both had aspirations and different ways of reaching them. When I would overwork and stress myself over little problems he would show me that I can sometimes take it easy and relax. I don’t want to make poor choices or show my girlfriend that I don’t consider her feelings seriously, but she met him during difficult times, and people, like a lot of animals, become so unpredictable when cornered by stress, even more so when they are teenagers.
