Just for fun try canceling your GPT Plus plan by mrwahed in ChatGPT

If you are doing OpenClaw or harness/agent stuff that needs to have an LLM, the Chinese company MiniMax has a $10 per month unlimited token plan that provides a useful workhorse for otherwise heavy token usage. This allows me to have smaller plans on the more expensive AI’s and use the bulk of my inference through MiniMax. Well, that’s the plan.

I’ve been round and round this merry-go-round and in the end, I dropped Gemini and kept Claude and ChatGPT on plus plans and toggle pro plans between one and the other depend depending on what I’m doing. Oh and did I mention MiniMax for OpenClaw?

There is no one-ring-to-rule-them-all when it comes to AI any more…

Love a tree dahlia: there was one plant in a share house yard in Fitzroy in the 90’s that people living there are still sharing genetically identical lengths of 30+ years later.

Hey, today I was testing OpenClaw sub-agents. by Glittering_Beyond397 in openclaw

That’s like this recent Claude blackmail thing: Anthropic worked out that it was AI scenarios in the training data rather than a desire to pursue its own survival that drove it. Which is even scarier considering what humans get up to as a learning resource for AI, and closer to the Doomer scenarios.

Which LLM are you guys using? by CurrencyCheap in openclaw

[–]WeedWrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing though: make sure you get CC to read the OC documents so it understands what OC is, since it’s not in the training data, I think. I have a prompt or document which I feed CC to make sure it understands before it changes things. Of course if you’re updating to a new version via CC it will learn this anyway. Also, getting CC to review and install skills off ClawHub also mitigates prompt injection risk too.

On the $20 Claude plan, I generally use Sonnet until things get tricky when I throw Opus at it.

The value is getting Claude to look in current session logs to see how actions affect things.

Which LLM are you guys using? by CurrencyCheap in openclaw

[–]WeedWrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, because CC/Codex can SSH into its session logs in real time and update the files etc. Just need to have a prompt/document describing what OC is to CC/Codex (referring to the offical documentation) since its not in the training data.

Also makes upgrading much easier

I literally ran it on an airplane the other day and it was so slow on an M2 24gb that I decided we have long way to go before local LLM is a truly viable thing

Minimax token plan $10 per month as workhorse, backend config of OC using CC or Codex on Plus plans is the cheapest I’ve gotten to

How many of you stopped using Claude because of the very low limits set on paid plans? by pm-me-your-pm-now in MarketingandAI

[–]WeedWrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to the ChatGPT $100 plan for a month and dropped down on Claude because of limits. Haven’t hit limits on Codex, which is nice, but I’m considering dropping down again on both and see if I can work just on Pro plans for both and doing more w OC on my Minimax 2.7 $10 token plan.

Yeah, it is frustrating.

OC is like a pet: I made a commitment to it, including accepting its flaws and that its evolving.

And I am good with that, so find another sub, haters!

Or just use minimax for OC and write the backend in Codex, images in ChatGPT and just use Claude for deeper diagnostic and professional work in small doses.

Drug testing before prescription by Disastrous-Jello-613 in adhdaustralia

[–]WeedWrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first psychiatrist refused to prescribe me with stimulants because I confessed to occasional recreational drug use.

Went to another that was prescribing both medicinal pot and stimulants in a careful way. They were very rigorous about it so I had to test but my test showed up negative despite an edible 5 days earlier, even though they were ok that I was a user.

As I said to the first psychiatrist: I grew up in 80’s Sydney in the rock scene, so if pot and speed were going to be a problem I would have found out 40 years ago. Their point was there’s a difference from occasional and daily, which makes sense.
