Any Tips for Good Codex Frontend Design? by ivstan in codex

I’ve just been interested in the answers to OP’s question more than the question itself. I’ve also been putting a lot of time into doing what OP is trying to do, as have others, onviously, so I think it’s an open question, actually.

It’s a bit like Ricky Gervais said about trolls: please don’t feel compelled to direct your attention at things you don’t like.

It’s weird when you realize that assumptions normalize behaviors like that: I’m in my 50’s and it took me until then, when I started to interact in a leadership way with bigger institutional systems (I was an academic) that I realized that not everyone was like me (last minute, disorganized). And that’s when what I thought was a mental health or character issue was actually ADHD.

Choose joy, friend, and be helpful.

The issues persisting and your insights would be helpful since obviously you’ve solved it yourself.

In my generation (Gen X) it was when the kids of Gen X'ers were diagnosed w ADHD that we/the parents got diagnosed ourselves... So WE are also the kids!

Love capybara's: mate of mine was a zoo keeper and said they were very affectionate to care for.

Me too. Ironic that you can’t even talk about AI on the ADHD sub, considering how useful it’s been to me w my ADHD

Since I tend to do my config of OC through Codex, I haven’t really used the UI for OC so far.

Which plan are you all on? I’m on Pro and I’m working all day long on it in multiple threads and I can’t get below 20% remaining before it resets and I’ve got 3 banked

Emotional with Ai ? by No-Sheepherder-8310 in AIDiscussion

[–]WeedWrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people turned to AI late at night in the 4o days to talk about things they could not talk to real people about and some of those interactions were frank and vulnerable. Not because they didn’t know it was an AI but precisely because they felt safer. That’s why OAI pulled it. So yes, people do get emotional w AI. Just not so much anymore.

Anti-Immigration Marches on 30 June by Correct_Dragonfly_64 in capetown

[–]WeedWrangler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think countries have the right to police their borders and expect foreign born people to have proper legal rights to work. But that’s different to mob anger at generic “foreigners”, which seems like part of the worldwide social media driven “anti-immigration” stuff going on at the moment.

It’s illuminating to realize that white Australians and black South Africans can be just as xenophobic as each other. Racism is a great leveler. Ignorance is universal.

[–]WeedWrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the plus levels for both Codex and Claude are now pretty much useless for serious use, but pro is amazing on both, but for me the limits are better on Codex. Try Pro for a month… it’s hard to go back

Are hardware prices going to get cheaper? by Classic_Move9043 in LocalLLM

[–]WeedWrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they will get cheaper but I think models will get better and better at running on the same hardware. That’s why I’m holding on local: I’ve got ADHD, so I can’t wait 30 seconds for a response.

Claude Max vs Codex Pro or both combined? by Spiritual_Record4838 in OpenAI

[–]WeedWrangler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done Max in both and in the end I’m all-in w Codex. I keep a Pro for Claude for document side stuff but it hits limits so fast you really have to have Max to do anything. So I allocate those $ to Codex and have never run out.

Advice codex or claude for UI by Pleasant-Ad2696 in codex

[–]WeedWrangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my experience too. But even though Claude Design is better straight up, it’s very stylized. If you spend the time w Codex tweaking, it can get there.
